Aleksandra Lozinska on Instagram: "‼️Save for later‼️ This hack costed me 2,5 € 🤯, which is much cheaper than having the curtains professionaly hemmed, and it was very easy. I cheated a bit because I also decided to update my IKEA curtains from Silverloon to Hilja because I like their look more. But you can achieve a similar effect with any type of curtains or drapes. I tried a few different techniques and these steps worked best for me: 1. Steam the curtains so they are straight.(you can also do it at the end) 2. Measure and mark how much you need to cut off. 3. Iron the edge to create a straight line. 4. Put a towel in between the curtain and flip the bottom of the curtain so it is easier for you to attach the tape. 5. Put the hemming tape into the crease and iron with steam. 6. They’re the Ikea Ritva panels, and if you watch the video you’ll see that I always buy their pleating hooks to soft pleat the top of my panels. You can use no-sew hem tape to make them the exact length for your window, and attach your trim by sewing or using fabric glue.
