The most commented words I see on my videos is “what camera is that?” And I usually respond with the answer! (Even though it was already in the caption lol). But my Pentax 6x7 is NOT a beginner friendly camera. Medium format is: more difficult to shoot properly, harder to focus, and more expensive per photo! 35mm is 1. Easier to focus 2. More photos per roll of film 3. Less expensive per shot 4. Easier to meter 5. Less expensive for cameras and lenses Some good 35mm cameras I recommend: Canon AE-1, F-1, A-1, AV-1, TL Minolta SRT 101, 102, 201, 202 X700 Olympus OM-1 Nikon FM, F2, F3 Pentax ME Super, K1000.
