WHICH CENTER LOOKS BEST???

Finished FP-PPing the Twirly Dresden. Now it needs a center. Which one do you like best... the black or the mottled color?? BTW, I noticed something when taking the pics: by just rotating the color circle in the center, the whole thing looks different. Color and how it works just amazes me!

Just an FYI: if you ever tear your FP while you are working, don't despair. Tear off some bits of FP from scraps and press them on... works just like tape except better. Tape can gunk up one's iron.

Thanks again to Vicki for sharing her drawing. Please CLICK HERE to see Vicki's post and view her great drawing! Which, btw, she is kindly offering as a FREE download. Thanks, Vicki!

That's all for tonight. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll leave a comment about which circle you like best... I'm having trouble making up my mind and would appreciate your opinion. Thank you.  Until next time. . .

MAKING JANE

It's time to get going on Jane again. Today's block is: F-6.  It only took an HOUR to make the tiny sq-in-a-square shown below.

This block needs 4 of these. Why did it take so long? Because I thought I'd pre-cut the bits to speed up the PPing... well, that only works if one cuts the pieces the CORRECT size. lol. Oh well, I have until midnight to get this done. Golly hope it doesn't actually take me that long.

DJ Block F6 - partially pieced, but not trimmed.
When PPing I sew right next to the line, on the seam-allowance side... how do you do prefer to do it? I like to allow a smidge to offset the take-up when the s.a. is pressed over.

Until next time. . . thank you for popping in to visit... what are YOU making today?

My DJ is really more of a WIP than a UFO, but I am linking to Leah's UFO party. Stop over and see what every is working on.

Hello ... and... SPIDER Virus strikes So. Calif!!

Hello Friends. . . It has been ages since my last post. It feels good to be back again. Thank you all for your kind emails and well-wishes.  Update: I am healing well. No more surgery until sometime later this summer.

QUILTY STUFF!!! . . . The SPIDER VIRUS is going around putter-land these days and now it has struck in Southern California! lol. Cattinka was my first 'exposure' to this disease, and when I mentioned this to Rosa, she became infected too! Now I have the virus!  Will YOU succomb to it? Go visit Catinka for the 'scoop'.  Below is first block:

Second block: [sewn together after its Photo Op]

And this is the MESS they leave behind!

I'm just a novice PPer and have a lot to learn. Practice, practice, practice... ya?!  For reasons still unclear to moi, I drew my PPing pattern as a size 4 1/2" block! Yikes! I must be crazy. Note to self: switch to larger size!

More pictures next time. . . thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Cyn; -)
