CAS & CR84FN

It's a rainy Monday morning, so my outdoor plans are on hold for now and I got crafty instead! I loved the colors in the CR84FN Challenge - yellow, gray and neutral!  The CAS Challenge on SCS is to use white layers, so this card meets both challenges.

I layered the embossed diamond panel over the CS base and added some tiny pearls for added texture.  The flowers and leaves are all quick die cuts - flower Die-Namics by MFT and Foliage die by Spellbinders.

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!
STAMPS: Small Phrases by Verve
ACCESSORIES: Heart scallop border punch by MS, Charming banner dies by Verve, Adhesive pearls, Diamond EF by Sizzix
PAPER: Going Gray, Basic Gray, Lemon Tart (PTI), Daffodil Delight (SU), Summer Sun (SU), White (PTI), Walk in the Park DP (retired by SU).

Mojo Monday

A dreary and wet Monday, but not working outside means more stamping time indoors, so it's all good! I made this card for three different challenges:
Mojo Monday - sketch by Teresa Kline
CR84FN - use mint, blue, and neutral colors
Paper Sundaes - things with wings

It's hard to tell in the photo, but I sewed some curved stitching lines around the base panel, then sobered up and stitched the straight lines on the green panel - lol!  The rest is pretty self-explanatory.

Here's my enabler's list:
STAMPS: Small Phrases by Verve
PAPER: Sweet Threads DP by BasicGrey, White by PTI, Baja Breeze by SU
INK: Versafine Onyx Black
ACCESSORIES: Ironworks Accents die by Spellbinders, Baja Breeze seam binding (SU), Circle Nestie, Butterfly punch by MS, Button, Flag die by Lil Inker Designs, Adhesive rhinestones, Distressing tool.

Sending Big Hugs

It may be rainy and dreary outdoors, but it's sunny and bright in my stamp room today!  I created this card for 3 different challenges:
Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge
CR84FN - Pink, Orange, Yellow
Paper Sundaes Challenge - Spring Blossoms
The sentiment is a freebie I got with an order with MFT and it's outlined and die cut using 'Lil Inker Designs' Flags & Tags Stamps set with accompanying die.  DP is from K&Co's Citronella 12x12 pad and the base is Yoyo Yellow from my retired SU stash.  Thanks for stopping by...hope you've had a great w/e!

Thought for today...
Difficult people are brought into our lives so we can practice patience.

Bridal Shower Invitation

I loved the colors for the CR84FN challenge as seen in the inspiration picture here. I was also intrigued by the unique sketch by Kelly Schirmer for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and decided to go with a bridal shower invitation theme. LOVE paper piecing this beautiful gown image! The tag with the party information can be removed from the pocket created by the crisscrossed panels.
Here's what I used:
STAMPS: You're Lovely (Waltzingmouse Stamps), Brides & Babies (retired SU)
PAPER: Lilac Avenue Collection (Kaisercraft), Latte Matstack (DCWV), Plum Pudding (PTI), Going Gray (SU), White
INK: Elegant Eggplant, Going Gray, Black
ACCESSORIES: Ribbon, Adhesive pearls, Rhinestones, Decorative scissors (SU).

Miss You

Just had to play in a couple more challenges before this day ends. This card is for Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and it uses the colors for CR84FN - aqua, green & yellow. (Edited to add: I'm late with this one...it was last week's challenge :-( ) I used a long forgotten ink pad "Taken with Teal"...a color I miss from SU's palette! Again used this yummy narrow velvet ribbon from Sharon Johnson's store...looks like more colors are going to be needed in my stamp room - lol!
What did I use:
STAMPS: Friendly Phrases (Verve), Very Vintage Labels #4 (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
PAPER: Sweet Threads (BasicGrey), Vintage Cream
INK: Taken with Teal
ACCESSORIES: Labels Four Nestie, Oval label die by Verve, Sizzlets little leaves die (SU), Prima, Adhesive bling by Recollections (Mike's).

Tea Time

Just a friendly reminder to check out the inspiration photo and play along with the FYI team - DETAILS ARE HERE!

This is my second post for today...just had to whip up a quick tea cup card using this template on SCS. I used colors for the CR84FN challenge - light pink, black & cream, plus this is for Our Creative Corner's challenge to create a card with a tea party theme. I layered 2 different punched borders in vintage cream along the top - Martha Stewart's Doily Lace and SU's scallop border. I scored 2 lines along the bottom of the cup. Another punched border in black (Martha Stewart's Floral Band) with pink pearls and some major bling on the DP finished up this cup of tea...well the tag actually was the finishing touch. :-) The sentiment is from Verve's Sweet Treats set. When I went to link this card to the CR84FN web site, I discovered I was the randomly picked winner of a stamp set from last week's challenge! Woohoo! It's always fun to be a winner!

CR84FN Tag

Went to Michael's today with a 40% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket and discovered they added lots of new Tim Holtz products. This caged bird die is one I've had my eye on for some time...and today I gave in! The CR84FN color challenge is to use kraft, green & brown, so I kept to that scheme to create this tag. Edges were sponged with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink and all papers are from Tim Holtz as well. The gem embellishment was on a clearance card at Mike's. So now it's back to watching Dancing with the Stars and then the NCAA championship game between Butler & UConn.

Beautiful Mojo Monday

When I saw the CR84FN challenge colors, I knew I wanted to use these lovely Webster's Pages papers. Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge worked great for the layout, plus this works for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge to use big buttons, and for the Totally Gorjuss Challenge to button it.
STAMPS: Happy Hello (Verve)
PAPER: Petite Papers (Webster's Pages), Ripe Avocado & Vintage Cream (PTI)
INK: Versafine Onyx Black
ACCESSORIES: MS seam binding, Springtime Vintage button (SU), Scallop border punch (SU), MS butterfly punch, Kaiser silver pearls, Circle Nesties, Corner chomper

Teapot Tuesday & CR84FN

Whoo is in the tree? Well, Whooligan Harry is clutching onto that branch for dear life, because he sees new owls coming to take over his coveted spot! He's about to get debranched! Sorry to mudder for coming late to the party...I hear she's easily bribed by cookies, so I'm coming in the back door and leaving her a great big platter of snickerdoodles! This week, the tea party goers' destination is Marie - sister to SCSer PhilsMom - who has progressive MS and could use some cheer sent her way. She loves owls, so this is to add to the 42,000 owls needed! I colored with Copics and paper-pieced the dress, chomped one corner & the card was done. Hope your day is going great and thanks for looking!

This is for 2 challenges:
MMTPT133
CR84FN15 - teal, green, yellow

STAMPS: Playful Animals (Hero Arts) - owl; You're So Tweet (MFT) - girl; Happy Hello (Verve) - sentiment
PAPER: Thrift Shop DP (October Afternoon), X-Press It Blending Card
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black
ACCESSORIES: Trim by Webster's Pages, Corner chomper, Oval punches (SU), Copics

Triple Play Card

This card is for 3 challenges:
JUGS - sketch
CR84FN - light pink, dark pink, chocolate
ODBDSLC - choose any challenge of the top 10 challenges this past year - I chose "Sparkle".
This was my first attempt at making a pleated flower and I had a time keeping the ends together. I didn't have it quite long enough, so the pleats are stretched more than they should be. I used glue dots, score tape and Zip Dry glue to anchor that sucker down - lol - and it still wants to pull apart! Grrr! The flower is made with 2 sizes of Martha Stewart's waterlily punches and the edges were sponged with Pretty in Pink ink. I love my new doily edge die that came in the mail today from MFT! Some bling and a Verve sentiment from Love's Flower (stamped in Chocolate Chip) complete the card.
PAPER: DP by MFT, Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink, Neenah Solar White
