It relates to almost every aspect of one’s personality and its development including academic achievement. The present study was conducted to study the effect of emotional stability on the academic achievement. The gender difference in emotional stability was also planned to study. Total sample of 200 student teachers of B.Ed. course were selected for this study. The tools used to collect data were Emotional Stability Questionnaire (1996) and Self Prepared Performa to collect marks of graduation examination for academic achievement scores. The data was analysed on the basis of mean, median, t-test, and ANOVA. No significant difference was found between male and female student teachers with regard to emotional stability or in emotional stability of student with different levels of academic achievement. A good leaching is an instruction that leads to effective learning, which means thorough and lasting acquisition of the knowledge, skills, and values. For giving education/knowledge of that level, a teacher should have dedication, talent, care. competency, expertness, professionalism as well as skills to handle budding generations. Teaching is not a rocket science but it requires continuous commitment of teachers in leaming. skill acquisition, and a refinement to practice so that they can meet the student's learming needs. It is the most demanding but complex profession. It demands sweat and blood to be a good teacher. Now days. when all are discussing about decreasing standards of education. it becomes a challenge for the teachers to develop such ways and means by which they can have a check over this degrading quality of education. For this. teachers need evaluation processes that can accurately identify their strengths as well as areas in which they need to improve. Self evaluation is one of the best mean of evaluation for teachers which can inform the teacher's success in his/her teaching. It would help teachers to have information and support that they need to develop as professionals. This paper will deal with ways and means of self evaluation to promote quality of teaching and teachers.
The present study was conducted to find the relationship between self concept and lifestyle of ad... more The present study was conducted to find the relationship between self concept and lifestyle of adolescents. This study was carried out on 100 adolescents' i.e.50 boys and 50 girls selected randomly from the Sonipat district of Haryana state. Data was collected using self concept rating scale by Dr. Pratibha Deo (2011) and Lifestyle scale by SK Bawa and Suman Preet Kaur Phagwara (2012). Mean median and r value was calculated to draw the results. The results found that 18% of adolescents have a very high level of self concept and 36% have high and 28% above average, 2% of adolescents have average level of self concept and only have low level of self concept. As per life style only 1% adolescents have very high, 5% have high, 36% above average and 34% have moderate while 21 % have below average and 3% have low level of life style. Further the results of the study also showed a positive correlation (0.25) between self concept and lifestyle. Since self-concept is positively correlated with lifestyle, those who have high self-concept also have moderate above average life style.

The study also attempted to examine Educational Adjustment in terms of sex and types of school. The sample constituted total 100 secondary school students out of which 50 were boys and 50 girls studying in private and government schools of Sonipat. Educational Adjustment Inventory by Rani & Singh (2014) was used for Academic achievement scores have been taken from the ninth-class final exam scores of students. Mean, SD and 't' tests were being calculated. The result showed that according to norms of the Educational Adjustment Inventory manual secondary school students had above average level of adjustment. It was also observed that the girl secondary school students are having more educational adjustment boy secondary school students in Sonipat and the educational adjustment of secondary school students in Sonipat, both private and public, is not significantly different. It was also noted that girl students and students studying in private schools were found to have more academic achievement than their counterparts male and government secondary school students. A significant and positive relationship was also observed between educational adjustment and academic achievement among secondary school students.

The difference between the psychological hardiness of married and unmarried pupil teachers and life satisfaction of married and unmarried pupil teachers was also studied. The sample of 100 pupil teachers i.c. 50 married and 50 unmarried were selected from four different education colleges of Sonepat district at random. Life satisfaction scale by Q.G Alum and R. Srivastva and Psychological scale of hardiness by Singh's were used to collect. No significant difterence in life satisfaction as well as in psychological hardiness of married and unmarried pupil teachers was found. But there was found a significant relationship between life satisfaction and psychological hardiness of pupil teachers.

Eysenck 's (1975) were used to collect the Coeficient of correlation was calculated to find relationship among the dijfjerent variables.
