Due to its ease of implementation, intensity modulation with direct detection (IM/DD) based on ON-OFF-keying (OOK) is a popular signaling scheme in these systems. For long-haul FSO links, avalanche photo diodes (APDs) are commonly used, which provide an internal gain in photo-detection, allowing larger transmission ranges, as compared with PIN photo-detector (PD) counterparts. Since optimal OOK detection at the receiver requires the knowledge of the instantaneous channel fading coefficient,

In the economy arena, she is seen as playing the supportive roles for the sustenance of the social status quo but in a very restricted mode which have little direct impact on local or national development. It is in the light of this fact that this paper examines the importance of empowering women for entrepreneurial roles in rural communities with the aim of achieving national development and growth. Data for the study was based on a 2013 survey of over 100 household businesses in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina state. The final sample size of 115 was determined through random selection of women operated businesses and this comprises of 57 full-time housewives and 58 partially employed housewives. It was discovered that culture plays a significant role in the determination of the willingness to partake in enterprising venture (97%), while only 23% of the respondents indicate strong interest in setting up a private venture. It was also discovered that education plays an important role in the building of entrepreneurial interest among the respondents. The study concluded that the first point of call for the empowerment of rural women for entrepreneurial roles is the provision of enlightenment through education.

It investigates the relationship between service quality dimensions of effectiveness and assurance, access, price, tangibles, service portfolio and reliability and customers' patronage. To achieve this purpose, The study employed Simple random sampling to select six banks namely First Bank Plc, United Bank of Africa Plc, Guarantee Trust Bank Plc ,Access Bank, First City Monument Bank and Zenith Bank Plc for this study. Convenience sampling method was used to select 240 customers of the selected banks. The data were analysed through the use of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS),while Pearson ' s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were used to test the hypotheses formulated whether significant relationship exist between service quality dimensions and customers' patronage. Result of the findings revealed that there is a positive strong relationship between the six service quality dimensions and customer patronage but only three independent variables namely effectiveness and assurance, price and tangibles have positive effects on customer patronage with the coefficient of 0.739, 0.305 and 0.264 respectively at 1% level of significance. Thus, this study suggested that banks should focus more on the six attributes of service quality dimensions of BSQ model especially access, service portfolio and reliability that recorded negative values in order to enjoy strong patronage by customers.

A survey research method was used to generate data from a sample of 10 departments in the Nigeria hotel services on knowledge sharing attitude innovation and employee performance. Descriptive statistics, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC), and regression analysis was used to analyze data. The results of the study confirms a statistical significant relationship exist between knowledge sharing attitudes innovation and employee performance in the Nigeria hotel services. The research findings suggests that to develop knowledge sharing attitudes and innovation among employee that benefit customer service, it is important for managers to model supportive attitudes, give actual supports in forms of bonuses and resources and, develop a culture that encourages employee to attempt innovation.
