Hellooooooooo...!

Hello my stamping friends! I know, I know, I've been MIA for wayyyyy too long... You probably don't even remember my name... LOL!
I've been stamping and creating, but I haven't really felt like blogging for quite a while.
My collection of Maggie stamps has grown over time though ;) So much so, that I'm looking for a loving new home for a few of them. Just a few, as I'm having a hard time letting go, heehee.
Anyway, I have Magnolia stamps for sale, as well as Penny Black, Stampavie, C.C. designs, Prima, Technique Tuesday, Autumn Leaves, Stampin'Up! and Heidi Swapp, to name a few. Also, a bunch of Cricut cartridges....

Check it out on my "for sale" blog, here:

Let me know if you have any questions! Oh, and please e-mail me if you'd like to order anything... instructions are on the blog too :)

Thanks and Happy Stamping!!

New card and a SALE!

Hi everyone!

Sorry for my lack of posting... I really enjoyed the blogging thing, but life's just been getting in the way lately. I'm soooo happy to be creating again though! I hope to be able to share some more cards in the next weeks! Although at the moment I'm busy busy working on Holiday gifts and cards!
I made a huge decision regarding this year's Christmas cards...LOL...I'm keeping it simple this year. *gasp* No, seriously. I have to. Spending hours coloring images can be really therapeutic and fun, but it can also be very stressful and it's just no fun when you feel pressured like you "have to"! I have enough stress in my life as it is already.
I really enjoy making my own Christmas cards though, and they will be nice but simple this year. Nuf said!

Here are some pictures of my most recent creation... a card with the lovely "Tilda with Peony" from the 2010 Wedding collection by Magnolia! LOVE this little girl!!
Sorry, I didn't keep track of the Copic colors or materials I used, as I was in a rush to get it out in the mail! :(

Please, don't forget to scroll down for some news about the SALE!

About the SALE... I have a whole bunch of stamps and other crafty stuff (embossing stencils, a bracelet kit, an embroidery kit etc. etc.) for sale on my new "For sale blog"... Yes, also some Magnolia's and Stampavie stamps!!!
Click on the link below:
and make sure to click "older posts" at the bottom of the first page to see the rest of the postings! Let me know if you have any questions! See order instructions at the top of the first page :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sweet Summer!

Hi everyone!

Well, Summer is definitely here! It's hot out, and even in the house it's 30 degrees!! Nope, we don't have air conditioning :(! Lucky for us our bedrooms are downstairs, where it's nice and cool. Usually it's only a couple days in Summer when it gets so warm downstairs that we can't sleep.
I do love Summer, walking around on bare feet or flip-flops all day... I don't like the heat though... and the threat of wildfires all the time... it's so darn dry up here, it only takes a spark... Yesterday a (53 hectares) wildfire started just a couple minutes drive from here... that's just a little too close for comfort!! So today I (finally) packed my emergency box... Passports, Dutch birth certificates, photo CD's, etc... Guess when it comes to an evacuation this will be the order I grab things: kid, pets, emergency box, Copics and Maggies!! Yes, hubby will have to take care of himself... LOL!! If there's still time, I'll grab anything else that fits in my Van :) But, hopefully, it won't come that far! It's one of my biggest fears though...

Well, on to some happier thoughts... Summer also means LOTS of icecream!! Yummm!!
I decided to ink up the cute Tilda with Icecream stamp! Here's my card:

Thank you, teacher!

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all enjoying Summer (or Winter, depending on where you are...)!
Today was a perfect Summer day here in BC, Canada. Not too hot, a lot of sunshine and a couple clouds... The perfect weather for spending a couple hours in my strawberry patch today, taking out the never-ending grass while picking those yummylicious red berries! Can you believe I picked about 6 lbs!! And it's only been a couple days since I last picked a bunch.
So guess what we've been eating all day? LOL! And there are still soooo many left, I guess I'll have to make a strawberry pie or something tomorrow! Yummmm...

So Summer vacation is here and it's time to wind down and relax a little. Although it also means spending more time with my daughter and less time in my crafty room... But my 7-year old is still easy to please, thank goodness! Nothing like a "surprise" picnic in the backyard and a water/sprinkler fight! :)

I still have pics to show you of the cards and stuff I've made as a "thank you" for my daughter's teacher.

Here's the card I made. It's a little different than my usual cards as it had to be a more "masculine" card for a male teacher.
I used "Tilda with glasses" because she looks just like my daughter :)
Thanks again, Lisa, for sending me a couple stamped images of this sweet Tilda!!

Materials used:

Paper for stamping: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White #80
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics
Stamps: Magnolia (Tilda with glasses and School Desk), sentiment is from Stampin'Up!
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
Patterned paper: We R Memory Keepers (Grandma's Kitchen line)
Twill ribbon: Close To My Heart
Brads: Close To My Heart
Tools: circle punches and spiral border punch Stampin'Up!, machine stitching

Sorry, I was in a hurry and forgot to make note of the Copic colors I used... :(

I also made a little matching gift card holder...

Unfortunately, I ran out of time and didn't get to finish the set of notecards I was making... Instead, I spend my time making a little memory book for the teacher (from the kids)... Here it is... (I used the same line of papers... LOVE them! Great for a male teacher!)

The inner "flap" holds a DVD that one of the other moms had made, with pictures of the kids and a short movie. (Thanks, Sara! Great job!!)
I guess the DVD and the little poem made the teacher a little emotional, although he tried very hard not to show :)

The pocket holds a gift certificate.

Well, that's it for now... Hopefully I will be able to find some time to spend in my craftroom in the next week or so (read: hopefully my DD will let me play in my room for a bit without interrupting every 3 minutes or so! LOL!)

See ya'll soon!

Usually I grab a Magnolia stamp (we all know I'm addicted to Maggies!) but there are sooooooo many great stamp companies out there.... I LOVE Penny Black stamps, and also CC Designs and Stampavie to name a few. In case you're wondering where to get them... 7KidsCollegeFund has a great selection!!

Here are two cards made with Penny Black stamps...

A Birthday card for my GF. I forgot to take a pic of the inside, but it reads: "Wishing you a birthday that is just your style!" She' a real girly-girl and loves black-and-white, so I thought this would be perfect :o)

I'm baaaaack!!

Hi everyone!

Let's see if I remember how to do this blogging thing...

Sorry I've been MIA for the last few weeks!! Had some family business to take care of and I totally lost my mojo to create!

But I'm back!! Celebrated my 38th Bday last weekend and guess what I got? More stamps and Copics!! Yay!! I feel like creating again and although I'm not overly enthusiastic about my latest creation, it will have to do.. LOL! It's a card I created for this week's challenge over at Just Magnolia The challenge is to create a card with a pleated lace border.

I struggled a bit with this card... the coloring was quite frustrating because first I used orange on Tilda's shoes and it started bleeding. Couldn't even get it fixed with my colorless blender! Ugh! I didn't want to do the whole image again, so I cut out Tilda (I had masked the image with the gate), cut off the shoes and replaced them with some nice brown ones :o).

I think I should have chosen a different image to go with the lace... as I find the image with the lace a little too big for this card... I was hoping you could see more of the paper underneath... Oh well... it's done... on to the next one! LOL!

Here it is:

Tulips for Mother's Day!

Hi everyone!

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there! Hope you'll get loads of hugs and kisses tomorrow! I know I will and I'm looking forward to it :o) My 7-year old daughter has been gift-wrapping some surprises while asking me if I think I will like her gifts... Because, except for one, they don't come from the store but she made them all herself... Wellllll, let me tell ya, I think handmade gifts are the best ever!! Especially the ones made by my precious daughter!! Can't wait to see... She's been secretly making some things and I wasn't allowed to come into her room for days! LOL!

Here's the Mother's Day card I made for my MIL.... in her favorite color! I'm so happy it made it all the way to the Netherlands in time! :o)
