Hi all, hope you're having a fab week! Today i'm very excited to share with you a crafty creation that was created by a CraftyThINKer blog follower - Jane. Jane lives quite local to me and attended my last crafty open house and since then we have been firm crafty and twitter pals! She has even encouraged me to give comping a go!! And i have even won a couple of little prizes!! Jane has a brilliant comping blog so if you've got a minute why not give it a look!! Click here to be linked through!

She recently purchased the 'Just Believe' stampset from me and when she saw the sunset brayer technique featured on my blog yesterday she tweeted me to say she was going to give it a go straight away - and that is exactly what she did! She created this stunning card:

I think you'll agree that Jane has made a completely stunning card!!

I love it when people take a look at my blog and it inspires them to get their crafty stash out and have a play!!! I have to say thankyou once again to Jade aswell for coming up with the original card in the first place and sharing it with me!!

I'd love to feature your Stampin' Up! creations on my blog!!! Why not email over your creation: [email protected]

Brayered Sunsets!!

Hey all, how are you all? I have had a super busy day and still no crafting :(so today I have a card to share with you that has been created by Jade and was featured on her blog yesterday!! It features a great technique for creating a sunset.

It has been created using the trust Just Believe stampset which includes 3 images, 4 sentiments and 2 label stamps.  It's such a brilliant stampset because it is so versatile and perfect for someone who is just building up their crafting supplies because you can make something from it to suit most occassions!
So here is Jades fab creation:

Jade used a piece of 'So Saffron' cardstock for the base, cut to 10.5 x 14.8 (ie A6 in size).  She masked off the card to create a sun image by using a '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and then using her 'brayer' she inked the background with 'More Mustard' and then peeled back the circle to create a sun!! Isn't it such an effective technique and so quick to create!!

The large flowery image from the Just Believe stampset has been inked with 'Chocolate Chip' and Jade stamped it 3 times across the bottom of the card, making sure she dropped down the stamp slightly each time.  Finally she stamped the sentiment with the same ink across the sun!!

If you haven't had a chance do chck out Jades blog - she posts something new daily and is such a crafting inspiration to me!!

Pips Dasher Swap

Today i have a card created by a new Stampin' Up! pal - Pip. She made a batch of these beautiful christmas cards to swap at a recent training event - aren't they lovely?!

Using a some 'Bashful Blue' ink and her brayer, Pip created a stunning snowy effect onto some 'Whisper White' card. She stamped the beautiful 'Dasher' stamp into the centre of the card. The beautiful sentiment is from the 'Heard From The Heart' stampset.

This is the perfect card to create in large quantities for your christmas cards, so why not book a christmas workshop, where i come around to your house and teach you and your friends and family how to make this stunning card (or something similar) I have workshop dates available in October and November, email me for details: [email protected]

I'm a brayer convert!!

Hi all, Today i plan to share with you another card using the 'Fun Flowers' Die. This card i'm very proud of because i went completely out of my comfort zone to create it. It is a complete original on my part and some experimentation with my 'Big Shot' and 'Embossing Folders' and my newest toy - my 'brayer'.

I was introduced the 'brayer' techniques at Cate's latest Craft Retreat day. I hadn't really seen the benefit of using one but now i'm well and truely converted!!  So anyway here's the card i made:

The main cardstock used for this card is 'Peach Parfait' (from the 'in colours' range) and 'So Saffron'. The background has been created by brayering 'Daffodil Delight' and 'Pumpkin Pie' ink on the inside of my 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder' and then placing a piece of 'Whisper White' cardstock in between and running it through my 'Big Shot', lovely effect isn't it!! I think me and my brayer are going to be good friends!! The flower has been created using the 'Fun Flowers Die' and has a 'So Saffron' 'Designer button in it's centre, the stem was stamped in 'Pear Pizzazz' ink onto a scrap of 'Pear Pizzazz' cardstock, using a stamp from the 'Sweetheart' stampset. The 'thank you' sentiment is from the 'Just Believe' stampset.

I'm just loving using all the new products from the mini catalogue and can't wait to share them with you at my craft open house this weekend. It's not too late to RSVP! I'd love to see you there! We will be making two projects using lots of new products. This event is completely FREE! Please e-mail me for further details: [email protected]
