Here is your next inspiration from our lovely creative Ujjwal.
Please welcome our second DT for this Challenge, Ujjwal
“Hello, I’m Ujjwal living in Pune, India and like the rest of the us am seriously addicted to Craft- making, admiring, hoarding and most defiantly buying ( things that I don't need but MIGHT need :D ). I got married to a wonderful guy 2 and a half months back and life has been a beautiful journey ever since. My DH is most supportive, encouraging and ever so patient with my crafting needs(I am not sure if its the same when I go on my crafting shopping spree!)
I have been into card making and crafting since I was a small kid but it got serious when I discovered blogging one and a half year back and started my own blog in February last year and there has been no looking back. I have met some very talented people..made wonderful friends and learned a lot.
I am glad to have been given the opportunity to be a guest designer at CraftyJC Challenges today! I am looking forward to all the creativity, fun and crafting!”
About Project
“Although I am a card maker, I have recently ventured into the world of scrapbooking and enjoying it thoroughly. For this project, I picked up some of my college pictures and created a layout incorporating hand writing and doodling.”
Here are some more views of this. All the lovely doodling is gorgeous.
There are a lot more of these on her blog too
What a great inspiration, Ujjwal. Thanks for the awesome inspiration.
Now, dear crafters, please loved some love to Ujjwal and come back join us at this fun challenge #7 Digi or Doodle.
Cheers,
Jaya
PS: This was posted by mistake on my personal blog!! Can you beat that! :))

CraftyJC Challenge#7: An inspiration from Piyu
Please welcome our DT Priyadharshini for this challenge with a gorgeous inspiration for us.
"Hi, I am Priyadarshini, fondly known as "Piyu" amongst family and friends. I work as a software engineer in Hyderabad.
I have been attracted towards arts and crafts since childhood, but got addicted to it 4 years ago, after I relocated to Hyderabad. It was an altogether new city with no friends and relatives. To add to it, my husband's job needed frequent travelling. Then one day, I had been to a craft exhibition where I bought a paper quilling card and my paper craft journey started. My dream came true when I put up my first ever exhibition in Singapore. Now I dream of having my own handmade gift store.
I started my blog http://notjustquilling.blogspot.com to showcase my work especially quilling. But now it has more of non-quilled cards."CraftyJC Challenge#6" was the first challenge I played and won. This little success, along with my fellow bloggers, encouraged me to try out new techniques in card making and scrapbooking.
I am a craft shopaholic and have a never ending wish list :). I would rather buy craft supplies than cosmetics or jewelry. Even a small purchase like a paper sheet keeps me happy all day along and hence my husband thinks that it's very easy to please me :)
When Jaya first informed me about this month's theme, I was super excited. I had loads of ideas in my head. I love doodling and the notepad that I carry for meetings is full of doodles :)
The doodled gifts, candies, cakes etc. are cut and stuck with a foam 2 way tape to give a pop up effect. I hope you like it!

In this card, everything is hand-drawn / doodled on white card stock.
No stamps, digi images or pattern papers are used. I have used colour gel pens for drawing and staedtler water colour pencils for colouring.
The doodled gifts, candies, cakes etc. are cut and stuck with a foam 2 way tape to give a pop up effect. I hope you like it!
Do play along and join the fun!"
Now, is that some gorgeous inspiration? How much can we do without one single supply we need to ship from out of India!! Love this card, Piyu - wish my birthday was round the corner! :)
Now, please drop in at Piyu's blog and leave her some love.
And don't forget to come back and play along at CraftyJC Challenge - Digi or Doodle. If you didn't know already, there is some fabulous Gift hampers to be won.
Cheers,
Jaya

CraftyJC Challenge#7: An inspiration from Kavitha
The first inspiration is from lovely Kavitha. I am a big admirer of her. I am sure many of you are :)
Here is Kavitha from Kalalayaa for you. Read about her to know how much passionate she is about crafting - a lovely dose of optimism and encouragement :)
Here is Kavitha from Kalalayaa for you. Read about her to know how much passionate she is about crafting - a lovely dose of optimism and encouragement :)
“Hi friends, I am Kavitha from Chennai, a freelance artist n designer running a art school called 'Kalalayaa'. Arts and crafts and designing always fascinated me from my childhood, but from a family in which most of them prefer a medical or engineering course (is these are the only professional courses in this world??. I wonder!!!) I dint get any chance to pursue my dream till my college, except doing some craft works in school and during holiday times. As there where nobody to guide me, I dint even know that there is a course for fine arts, pity on me:((. But I had a dream of doing fashion designing, and again I dint get permission for that too. So like every other Indian girl, I did my computer science degree, lolz. But after that I really wanted to pursue my dreams badly, I joined a course for fashion designing after my degree, but after knowing stitching was the main part which I really cant do I quit that course in 6 months. That is the time I joined a painting class, and felt yes, this is my thing and very shortly it turned as my profession and since then there was no looking back.
I have been blogging for two years now,and I really love it.Blogging world and the internet taught me so much which otherwise would have taken ten more years for me to learn.Only after started blogging, I started learning things by myself, before that I use to go to classes which I feel limits you within a small circle.Yes,of course you should learn the basics from somebody, and then you can try out new techniques yourself which will make you stand out ..
I believe there is no art in this world is complete with out any mistakes, and you can never finish off a art work if you want it without a single mistakes ,but i guess the beauty of the creation lies in that.A talent of an artist lies in how well they hide the mistakes and make it look good on the whole without anybody realizes it:))).Art is a process which gets better by itself every single passing day,so what all we need to do is keep practicing. So enjoy crafting, and keep crafting all the time:))). ”
And here her is her super lovely card. Isn't that fabulous?
“I have used digi image in my card, and this cutie pie is from bugaboo stamps. I really loved this digi as soon as I saw it,and looking forward to use it in my card, n here comes the right time. Not my usual cards with flowers and butterflies and ribbons, but I loved the effect.”
“The pattern papers are from basic grey n echo park, I have painted the edges with white acrylic paint, digi is colored with inktense water color pencils, the star is hand cut, sentiments using Maya road chip boards which is colored with metallic silver paints and finally some twine, button and brads to finish the card.Hope you like my card,do play along in the challenge”
Absolutely loved this inspiration. Now, off you go and please leave some love to Kavitha at her blog.
And hop back here and join back in the fun new challenge #7 Digi or Doodle
Cheers,
Jaya
