Butterfly Beliefs
Happy Monday all!
Time is truly flying by now; so much to do but so little time in which to do it before the big C ;) We had a lovely Halloween, thankfully the movie wasn't too scary (Jaws) although I did jump up once or twice!
This fortnight's challenge at Ooh La La is "Stitching, Real or Faux". I opted for real stitching, using some lovely twine I won in a challenge recently. A little different from what I have been working on recently (i.e. Christmas cards), a welcome relief really. I'm curious to see what you will be making of this theme, as usual you have two weeks to link up!
Materials:
* Believe Digi & DP from the Shawn Jenkins CD
* We R Memory Keepers Vintage T Textured CS
* Forest Moss Distress Ink
* Hely Cuppleditch Special Delivery Pastels Twine
* Wooden Butterflies from local store (Xenos)
* Pearls from stash
Challenges:
* Digi Galore (Wings)
* Creative Corner Challenges (Sing, Sing a Song) I Believe I can Fly by R. Kelly
* Alphabet Challenge (T for Twine)
* Craftitude (Anything Goes/Use Twine or String)
* Daring Cardmakers (Other Occasions and Reasons - No Birthday or Christmas cards)
* Left of Center (Twine or Washi Tape)

Let's Get Sentimental
Hi everyone!
Phew, what a hectic week it has been! Last Saturday, we celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and I decided to make a memory book for then with memories and photos from the guests that were invited. Man, did I underestimate the amount of work! Towards the end, I was completely spent and still needed to do a couple of pages! Suffice to say I was close to chucking the whole lot in the bin, but thankfully I somehow managed to complete the book AND write a little speech. It all went without a hitch and my parents loved the book and the speech. Mission accomplished :)
However, I am glad to go back to my own crafty projects, starting today with the new Fab 'n Funky Challenge. It's an easy one this week: "Add a Sentiment". As usual, any project or style will do, link up your creative projects and join the challenge! Our sponsor this week is Digi Darla, who generously donated several images for the DT to work with. I picked Butterfly Wonder, such a cute image and perfect for those Spring cards!

Thankful for You
Good morning everyone,
I am really quite late with my PCD DT card today, as our new challenge started this morning already. I had major problems making this card, I had a great idea in my mind but that never came to fruition unfortunately. The whole card really came into being because of an accident. I was going to print off the lovely Ulysses Butterfly as a whole, but my computer managed to print it too huge to fit on the page twice in a row. At first I wanted to throw the print away and start a third time, but then I thought it might also work with part of the butterfly. And actually, after cutting away all the panels in the butterfly and backing it with glitter paper, I was really quite happy with that element. Problem was, how to proceed and make a complete card out of it. To my mind, it never really came together. You be the judge:
Oh, almost forgot, our theme this week is "Be Thankful", me being thankful that I managed to squeeze out this card after all, even if it is a little late ;)
Materials:
* Create & Crafts CS
* PCD Ulysses Butterfly
* Petaloo Glitter Sheets
* Prima Sparkling Spring DP
* Vintage Page Accents
* Eline Vintage Sentiment stamp
* Ribbons, chipboard, flowers, gems & pearls from stash
Challenges:
* Art Impressions (Pink)
* Charisma Cardz (Badda Bing; Bling/Shiny)
* In the Pink (Pink Plus One): Blue
* Paperplay (Shine On)
* Sassy Studio (Think Pink)
* Come and Get It (Choose 3 ingredients from the list): I've chosen gems, ribbon and glitter
* Dream Valley (Go Pink)
* Joanna Sheen (Down in the Garden)
* Our Craft Lounge (Think Pink)
* Stampin with the Dragon (Animals)
