Vanishing post

So, I posted this card last Saturday, and then it seemed to vanish. :( I don't know how that happened....well I might. I think I forgot to set the date of the post before I published it so it posted the wrong day and then when I went to fix it, it just disappeared. Oh well.

Now it's back! This is the card I made for my brother, Jeremie, to give to his Australian Army friend who married an US Army lady last Saturday. Jeremie said it was one of the best weddings he's ever been to (or seen on TV! haha!) He wanted a special, custom card made by his sister *aww* and asked that it include both the American flag and the Australian flag. Larger feat in my mind than it actually was when I set down and drew it out with my Copic multiliner. I think it turned out great! I like how is elegant without being too frilly.

I can't believe all my shows are done for the summer! All but Glee and House that is. Five-0... awesome, Survivor... a bit predictable, CSI...nail-bitting, Bones...sad but happy. Ho, hum, what am I to watch now? Hopefully Hell's Kitchen starts up again.

Materials
Stamps: CTMH Wings and Affection, BG mini set
Paper: CTMH cs, pearlized paper

What I've been up to....

Happy New Year!!! Can't believe it's another new year! New beginnings come along with that, and hopefully more postings from me.

I thought I'd share with you all one of the creations I made for Christmas. I made two of these shadowbox pages for my two girlfriends, Josie and Becky. Becky was recently married last October, and these were her colors: Fuscia, Black, Creme, and Lime Green. Josie is her best friend and her Maid of Honor and I thought it would be cool if they had something to put a special picture from the wedding in.

I used some random dp I had for the background page (isn't it beautiful?!) and CTMH cardstock and buttons for the accent colors. These Primas I've been holding onto forever worked perfect as well as the Thickers and AC rub-ons that have been gathering some dust. They finally found their purpose!

This is a close up of the accents. I combined Primas and CTMH flowers. I used the AC rub-ons on one of the flowers. Black rhinestones made the perfect centers, and Thickers made excellent leaf accents.
Here is a nice shot of the beautiful layers of the dp. Love the metallic sheen that worked great with the Thickers and contributed to the overall elegance.

Hope you all had a spectacular and safe New Year's Eve!
Materials:
Misc. dp, CTMH cs, buttons, and Big Pink flowers, Prima flowers, black rhinestones, MM definitions stickers, Thickers, Nestie die, AC rub-ons

Wish me luck!

Well today's the BIG day! My first ever Farmer's Market. I have been a nervous wreck the last few days trying to get all my last minute things in order, and to crank out some more cards. I even set up my display in my living room last night to see what everything would look like! Haha! That must be the Virgo in me! Man! I have more cards than I thought I did! Thank goodness my Mom found another cards stand for me, and Nona let me borrow one of hers.
So, if you haven't noticed my them of late.... wedding cards. "Tis the season"! I really love this blue/brown combo. I wish I had more of this from my BG Eva. :( Oh well, fun while it lasted. I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday #114. This was the perfect layout for this larger Bella image.

BrideaBella

I'm back today with a wedding card. I'm setting up a table at my first Farmer's Market tomorrow, and thought stocking up on the wedding cards during wedding season might be a good idea. Especially since when I made some last week, the day after I made them my co-worker asked if I had any wedding cards for sale. Well, good thing I made some! That got me thinking of how I needed to enlarge my stash. BrideaBella makes for a pretty and easy card. I think the layout I used is from some sketch I saw, but I can't remember where I saw it....

Stamps: Stamping Bella BrideaBella, sentiment is Basic Grey
