Of the 577 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 443 were men suicides and 134 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.27 per 100,000 men and for women 4.2 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Nicaragua suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death.
