Copyright status: File:Derryvella.png
[edit]This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Derryvella.png. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

File source is not properly indicated: File:Derryvella.png
[edit]This media was probably deleted. |
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Derryvella.png, was missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. The file probably has been deleted. If you've got all required information, request undeletion providing this information and the link to the concerned file (
[[:File:Derryvella.png]] ).
If you created the content yourself, enter If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you! |

Semple Stadium photos
[edit]Hi Sheila1988. Great photos of Semple Stadium! However, regarding the dates of all five – your titles and descriptions have 15 June 2015, but the "Date" field and the metadata have 15 June 2014. Just wanted to know which is correct. Perhaps you can amend? Cheers. DaHuzyBru (talk) 15:22, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
File:Dunmore Cave, Co Kilkenny - geology.jpg
[edit]On 15 January 2019, you uploaded this image to Wikimedia Commons with a source:Own work. Although you may have taken this photo, did you also create the diagram that appears in the photo, or do you own the copyright of the diagram? GeoWriter (talk) 13:20, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- No, I didn't. I suppose it should be deleted then? Sheila1988 (talk) 19:52, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
The diagram does seem to be a work with some creative content, so I think its presence on Wikipedia Commons is probably a copyright violation. I'll create a deletion request.GeoWriter (talk) 20:02, 8 March 2019 (UTC)

Hi, you misidentified this image and building. It has nothing to do with Opus Dei. It's the Palazzo di Propaganda Fide. Therefore, I've renamed the file. --Túrelio (talk) 09:20, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi Sheila1988, where is this statue located, in Ireland? As it seems to be not very old, it is likely still copyrighted, but probably coverd by freedom-of-panorama of Ireland. However, you should add the name of the sculptor and the year of creation. --Túrelio (talk) 16:26, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi Sheila1988, thanks for your photo. You have labelled the monument in memory of Michael Dwyer, his associate Sam McAllister, and other participants in the insurrection of 1798 in Baltinglass “pikeman”. Apparently, you are mixing this up with the Wexford Pikeman statue by Oliver Sheppard. The statue in Baltinglass does not carry a pike but holds a musket with his left hand. I've created a category for this monument where you find more infos. Best, AFBorchert (talk) 23:25, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]I have temporarily (?) lost my password, so I can't log in. I just thought your "Devs God" image was amazing and funny. (Because software developers call themselves "Devs"). I was wondering what/where Knox house is - not Fort Knox, right? Not an urgent request for knowledge or anything. In general, I'm pretty disappointed at how alot of male editors here are rude or even openly hostile towards female editors. A sign of our times, to be sure - and also likely the reason so few editors are female (about 10%, last I heard.) I guess I'm trying to push back against that in saying "thank you for your contributions" - Devs God had me ROFL. :P 185.169.0.7 11:31, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
Hi Sheila1988, this was photo was uploaded by you in 2012. The description “Stained glass windows in church” and a category “Stained-glass windows in Ireland” is all you gave. This is obviously from a baptistry where the two lancet windows depict the baptism of Jesus (left) and, I am guessing here, the baptism of Eithne and Feidhealm by St. Patrick (right). But which church is this? The right window names a donor Canon Carver P.P. Castletownroche. Could you please identify this church? Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 17:30, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- It's Cobh Cathedral https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Colman%27s_Cathedral,_Cobh Sheila1988 (talk) 19:46, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, Sheila1988, I should have known this as I have photographed these windows as well. I've augmented the description and the categories accordingly. Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 05:00, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
Hi Sheila1988, this is not a window by Harry Clarke but by Richard King. This window was commissioned to Harry Clarke Studios in 1932 when Harry Clarke was already dead (he died in 1931). This commission was executed by Richard King who among other artists continued to work after Harry Clarke's death in his studio. It is located at the west wall of the west transept of St. Mel's Cathedral in Longford and depicts St. Anne with St. Mary. See File:Longford St. Mel's Cathedral West Transept Window Sts. Anne and Mary by Richard King 2019 08 22.jpg for more details. I've fixed the description and moved the file. Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 18:52, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
