File tagging File:BeastBoyShub.png
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:BeastBoyShub.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT ([email protected]). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:BeastBoyShub.png]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

File:BeastBoyShub.png has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

User who nominated the file for deletion (Nominator) : Skazi.
I'm a computer program; please don't ask me questions but ask the user who nominated your file(s) for deletion or at our Help Desk. //Deletion Notification Bot 2 (talk) 20:37, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
File:Wikidata nodes in white (hi).svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Request
[edit]Hi @Saurmandal, I am the original creator of the File:Flag of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (India Nation Council).svg png version. I thank you for providing the link in the description to my original file. But I am here to request you to revert the svg version and let us have the old TRS flag for historical reasons on certain United Andhra Pradesh election article. Instead I suggest you to overite my png file and upload your svg file there so that we can have both old and new flag of the BRS (formerly TRS - flag with the map of Telangana, initially uploaded by the user:Gppande~commonswiki) 456legend (talk) 06:23, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, I've reverted it to the previous version. I'll upload it as a separate file, which should've been the case earlier too but I wasn't to familiar with Commons policies. Is the name "Flag of Bharat Rashtra Samithi new.svg" okay? Also, is the Telugu text on the SVG correct? It is the page title on tewiki but is different from that of your PNG. ~ Saur (talk • contribs) 13:36, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your consideration. As far as I believe, the name is fine when uploading a new version. Regarding the confusion about the name, you can refer to the party's official Twitter handle logo, which bears the spelling I have included in the PNG version
- https://x.com/BRSparty?t=heVojDbzLeYKUEKZz9wYOw&s=09
- Also for your easy access, the following will be the correct name: భారత రాష్ట్ర సమితి (I believe the doubt is about the త్ and త, so it is preferable to use త and I will be now moving the tewiki page to the correct name) 456legend (talk) 14:58, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Also instead of including the word new you can use the title: Flag of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (India Nation Council).svg, since I will requesting to move the existing file to Flag of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (Telangana Nation Council).svg 456legend (talk) 15:01, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll correct the text now and upload it once the file is renamed. Thanks! ~ Saur (talk • contribs) 15:21, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Saurmandal, since the rename request got declined I think now you should instead upload the file with the name you intially suggested. 456legend (talk) 13:06, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- Done. Am a little late, sorry about that ~ Saur (talk • contribs) 13:58, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for uploading the file. I am sorry for not noticing it at the earliest. 456legend (talk) 17:16, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Welcome, Dear Patroller!
[edit]
Hi Saurmandal,
You now have the Patroller right and may call yourself a patroller! Please take a moment to read the updated Commons:Patrol to learn how Patrolling works and how we use it to fight vandalism.
As you know already, the patrolling functionality is enabled for all edits, not just for new-page creations. This enables us to keep track of, for example, edits made by anonymous users here on Commons.
We could use your help at the Counter Vandalism Unit. For example by patrolling an Anonymous-edits checklist and checking a day-part.
If you have any questions please leave a message on the CVU talkpage or ask for help on IRC in #wikimedia-commons.

[edit]Hey, the images are mine that i took with my phone and they are copyright free. Whats wrong? LuffyDe (talk) 14:07, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- The images are of variable quality and missing metadata about the model, so were very likely to be not own work. Apologies for the confusion, and I have reverted my edits. Good day! ~ Saur (talk • contribs) 14:17, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have edited them to remove the metadata which is a standard practice. Anyway, I have stopped supplying images if this is how you treat people who want to help. LuffyDe (talk) 15:38, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- On Commons, metadata is a tool of verification of ownership, so uploaders are encouraged to retain useful parameters like device specifications. Please remember that I'm just an editor on Commons and can make mistakes; I do not represent the whole of the community, so you should feel free to continue uploading freely licensed works :) ~ Saur (talk • contribs) 15:43, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- One thing human beings love is convenience. If something is not convenient, especially something that is being done with no end benefits and it becomes super complicated and inconvenient when you are not even benefitting from it, it simply becomes untenable to continue doing it. So good luck to those who would pick up the tab. Personally, I am done. No need to supply copyright free images and then be taken round and round in circles. Not worth the hustle tbh.
