Deutsch: Die Scharnhorst war ein Schlachtschiff der deutschen Kriegsmarine im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Sie wurde nach Gerhard von Scharnhorst benannt, der in Preußen die allgemeine Wehrpflicht einführte und für tiefgreifende Reformen der preußischen Armee verantwortlich war.
English: Scharnhorst was a 31,500 tons Gneisenau class battleship (Royal Navy:battlecruiser) of the German Kriegsmarine, named the Prussian general and army reformer Gerhard von Scharnhorst and to commemorate the World War I armored cruiser SMS Scharnhorst.
