Símun av Skarði

Símun av Skarði (1872-1942) from Skarð, Faroe Islands was a Faroese educationalist and writer. Together with Rasmus Rasmussen founded he the Folk High School of the Faroes. The text of the Faroese national anthem Tú alfagra land mítt is written by av Skarði.
