Description
Français : Lise Bissonnette arrive au journal Le Devoir en 1974, où elle se démarquera comme éditorialiste, rédactrice en chef et directrice en plus de s’imposer comme voix influente sur la place publique. Après son départ du quotidien, elle orchestre la création de Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec et de l’ultramoderne Grande Bibliothèque de Montréal. Mme Bissonnette est aussi une romancière et essayiste accomplie.
English: Lise Bissonnette joined the influential Quebec newspaper Le Devoir in 1974, serving as editorialist, editor-in-chief and publisher, and establishing herself as a leading opinion maker. After leaving Le Devoir, she oversaw the creation of Quebec’s Bibliothèque et Archives nationales and the Grande Bibliothèque, an ultramodern library in Montreal. She is also an accomplished novelist and essayist.
