- I have uploaded many pages to Commons.I have over 500 pages patrolled in English Wikipedia; and thus I consider myself to be experienced.I would find this user right extremely helpful. Thank you. Dipankan001 (talk) 16:47, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
- Not done. I'm not convinced that you understand Commons' copyright policies sufficiently. A number of your uploads have been deleted due to copyright concerns in recent months. I am particularly concerned by the page history of File:Chris Gayle.jpg, where you edit warred trying to remove a speedy deletion tag that rightly pointly out that the licensing claim made regarding that image was problematic. Commons is not Wikipedia and I think you need to spend a bit more time showing you understand its policies before patrolling content here. I also note these threads on Wikipedia: [1], [2]. - I'm not entirely sure what this means. I mean, I understand from a technical standpoint and the page explains the context here well enough that I guess I do know somewhat exactly what it means, but my point is, if I have one, that I'm actually not entirely familiar with the policies here and thus someone should probably just be chasing me off this requests page right now. Even so, when I was looking through recent changes and the like, some things did seem pretty obviously fine or not fine, so being able to mark that fine stuff as fine would make me feel marginally less useless, and I am well-versed in the art of just ignoring more uncertain things. Thank you for your consideration, and... er... *prepares to run* — Isarra (talk) 04:35, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
- Not done You pointed out the most important thing: You're not familiar with the policies here. You should read Commons:Patrol carefully and gather more experience. a×pdeHello! 13:52, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
- I did read the thing, silly; it's specifics of formats and procedures that leave me clueless. No worries, though - I knew it was a long shot. Thanks anyhow. — Isarra (talk) 19:55, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, having looked into the matter, how exactly do you propose I gather more experience in this field? From a technical standpoint the only way one can get effective experience is with the right; those without it cannot see what has been patrolled or not, and subsequently there is also no way for them to hide patrolled edits on recentchanges, newpages and other logs. This would make any attempts at countervandalism and the like without it inefficient at best, and completely redundant at worst, with no option but to look at already patrolled as well as unpatrolled stuff.
- If this was not what you meant, however, please elaborate. — Isarra (talk) 22:10, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- The only way to measure user experience is the quantity (and maybe the quality) of his edits. There are no exact numbers but IMHO you should have at least 500 edits (which aren't rolled back ...). I don't know what other admins expect, as I said that's my personal view. Regards a×pdeHello! 16:57, 22 March 2012 (UTC)

- I've on Commons nearly 170 Edits (133 File, 12 Article, 12 Category). Can I have the Patroller-Rights, please? Derschueler (talk) 18:37, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- Not done - Not enough experience here. Please try after you have around 1000 edits. --Sreejith K (talk) 05:53, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

- I'm New pages patroller from the es:Wikipedia, and I've done some maintenance work on Commons (put proper license for trademark logos, tagging files for promotional purposes with speedy delete, etc). So I would like to be a patroller guideline in Commons, to extend my maintenance work and collaborate with Wikimedia better. Thank you. Amitie 10g (talk) 01:13, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- Not done - You only have little over 100 edits now. Please come back after you have gained more experience. --Sreejith K (talk) 10:03, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

- I have patroller flag in Russian Wikipedia. I want to patrol edits on pages in my watch list (so don't expect hight from me). Thank you. Daniil.r (talk) 16:43, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Not done. You only have 259 edits overall (including the Russian Wikipedia). Too early imho. Trijnsteltalk 19:44, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

- I feel i could be helpful as patroller. As I am patroller, rollbacker, filemover and closer @ ru.wiki, my main scope of activity lies there, but I also browse through certain files @ Commons from time to time. If I would have the right to patrol the files here, I wouldn't hesitate to do it. Thank you in advance. Niklem (talk) 19:51, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
- Not done 332 edits on Commons. I'd like to see more experience here with Commons copyright/scope. Also, "browsing through certain files @ Commons from time to time" doesn't make me think that you actually need the patroller right at this time. INeverCry 20:13, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

- I have been a patroller on Wikipedia, including patrolling the File namespace; however, as more and more files are beign uploaded to the Commons rather than Wikipedia directly, I feel that having patrol rights here would be more helpful as a whole. Thank you. Inks.LWC (talk) 05:07, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

- Hey, I've done literally nothing on Commons, however I do a lot of vandal revision on Wikipedia and have read all the relevant Commons policies for this user right. I plan on working here a little more in the future as well. Thank you. Shaun9876 (talk) 21:44, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
