  •  Delete I do also wish that we may find a way to tell all the dozens os smaller wikis that kept his article. Wiki.en, Wiki.de, Wiki.es and Wiki.pt delete it, but it was recreated last week inside Wiki.fr. But there are dozens of small wiki with his article. How to deal with it? Deleted: This is a case of cross-wiki spam. Taurino Araújo has been trying for seven years (!!!) to include his résumé in several wikis. As mentioned by proposer and other participants, Araújo is not a notorious person and articles are routinely deleted. Therefore, I understand that it is unnecessary to wait the usual seven days to delete the files. --Érico (talk) 22:49, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note: The purpose of Commons is way vaster than serving as a support project for Wikipedia. The POV that this is considered spam for Wikipedia is irrelevant here, if the files can still serve educational or documental purposes, as is the case here. This DR should never have been speedied, as this was not an obvious situation. Inclusively a number of photos was in use, and others covered other important and notable subjects (even for Wikipedia), but they were speedied as well, against the rules and use of Commons. I am restoring some of them that cover other important subjects, or are/were in use in places where this bio is in scope, such as Wikidata.-- Darwin Ahoy! 14:30, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DarwIn a. Why did you decide that you have the right to cancel another administrator's action? b. This is a case of regular deletion - ok, there was no reason for a speedy deletion, but for a speedy keep there is also no reason. All of these files were restored by DarwIn on 4 July 2020, as noted above, with comment "should not have been deleted". They never got their 7-day DR due process. They are here for the purpose of promoting or advertising Taurino Araújo and should be deleted per COM:CSD#G10. Once the files are deleted, the category will be empty and it, too, should be deleted. It seems like, at least for a few of these, we should consider whether having a freely licensed picture of the person - which Taurino Araújo could be cropped out of - would be worth it. Adam Cuerden (talk) 13:53, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Adam Cuerden: I would not object to having freely licensed crops of the other people in those photos without Taurino Araújo here on Commons, whether as overwrites with revdel or as derivative works.
