The Puthurppilli Krishna temple, also called as the Manjapra Maha Vishnu temple, is a 10th-century square plan Vishnu-tradition temple complex in Manjapra village, Kerala. It is notable for being one of the few Kerala temples with roof made from granite slabs and its overall architecture that stands on dressed granite rock. It shows influences and ideas from similar temples found along coastal Karnataka. The complex also has a damaged 10th-century Maha Vishnu statue that holds Varadamudra.
The Puthurpully Krishna temple faces east and many shrines. Other than Krishna, the complex has shrines for Ganesha, Sastha, Bhadrakali Bhagavathy, and others, thus revering all major Hindu traditions. To the south is a Koothambalam (Hindu temple performance arts center) that is sometimes referred to as Vrindavan mandapam (auditorium). To the north is the chira, or a manmade lake that also traditionally served as the temple water tank.
