The Mito Rebellion Mito bakumatsu sōran 水戸幕末争乱, also called The Tengu Faction Rebellion Tengitō no ran 天狗党の乱, was a rebellion against the Tokugawa shogunate that carried out mainly by the Mito Domain with fighters from other domains lasting from May 1864 to January 1865.
