In 1934, Juliette May Fraser covered the walls a room in the Hawaii State Library with murals, as an employee of the Works Progress Administration. The murals depict Hawaiian legends. They are now partly obstructed because of architectural renovations, including lowering the ceiling to accommodate air conditioning.
