English: The Hyde House at 17 Grove Street, at the corner of Bedford Street between Bedford and Bleecker Streets in the West Village neighborhood of Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1822 – with a third floor added in 1870 – by William Hyde for himself. It is the best preserved wooden house in the Village and is located within the Greenwich Village Historic District. Hyde's shop is around the corner at 100 Bedford Street.
