Sie liegt ca. 25 km westlich von Yeovil, am Rande zur Grafschaft Devon. Mit 125 m ist sie der höchstgelegene Ort in der Grafschaft.
English: Chard is a town and civil parish in the English county of Somerset. It lies on the A30 road near the Devon border, , it is the southernmost and highest town in Somerset. Administratively Chard forms part of the district of South Somerset.
