1906–2006

English: Incorporated 1906 as Berner Alpenbahngesellschaft Bern–Lötschberg–Simplon (BLS) it became BLS Lötschbergbahn AG in 1998 when SEZ Simmentalbahn, GBS Gürbetal-Bern-Schwarzenburg and BN Bern - Neuchâtel, that had ever been operated under contract by BLS, were merged in. The logo of 2001, after the demise from long distance passenger traffic, was reduced to just "bls". And after the merger with RM Regionalverkehr Mittelland in 2006 a new company was incorporated under the name "BLS AG" (see the new category BLS).
