File tagging File:Pqi logo.svg
This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Pqi logo.svg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT ([email protected]). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Pqi logo.svg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Code issues in User:TKsdik8900/vector.js
Hi TKsdik8900, I am a bored bot (this is kind of a computer program) that is watching the recent changes and tapping buttons like I did now.
Curious about the reason? Possibly not but I will tell you anyway:
- You edited User:TKsdik8900/vector.js. Glad to see you coding in javascript! Have you ever considered becoming a MediaWiki hacker?
- Though, that change appears to introduce 1 new jshint issue — the page's status is now having warnings. Note that invalid or ambiguous code often has unwanted side effects like breaking other tools for you. If you cannot find out how to fix it, I suggest blanking the page for now.
- To help you understanding where the issues are, I have aggregated a report here and now. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask users experienced in javascript writing for help. But do not ask the bot's operators (chronically overwrought) unless you suspect an error of mine. If you prefer not getting spammed by me, you can opt-out reports by adding {{ValidationOptOut|type=all}} to your user page or cmb-opt-out anywhere on your your global user page on Meta. Good luck at Wikimedia Commons and happy hacking!

Autopatrol given
Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. rubin16 (talk) 09:53, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
Your autotranslation of {{Urheberrechtlich geschützt}}, as I said here, has generated an error that prevents this notice is being displayed at Commons in German as well as in those Wikimedia German-speaking projects that use it for certain types of license templates, and thus affects a large number of cataloged files with licenses such as {{PD-US}}, {{PD-AR-Photo}}, {{PD-Sweden-photo}}, {{PD-Denmark50}} or {{PD-Italy}}, among others. Also, these restrictions apply only to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (for which this template was created); and, as far as I have seen, there is no indication that Japan is also affected enough to add a Japanese translation, and the English one was added to internationalisate the template for users who cannot speak/understand German. Of course, I'm not saying this to criticize or anything, but as far as I can see, {{Urheberrechtlich geschützt}} appears only when using Commons in German language or its dialects (Alemmanisch and Boarisch); and when you added the autotranslation and the documentation page for add the Japanese version (obviously, all in good faith), you have caused that, when a German-origin editor (or anyone contributing to German projects and accesses Commons using that language) access to a file tagged with PD-US, PD-Ar-Photo, PD-Sweden-photo, etc., he/she/they will see "Template loop detected: Template:Autotranslate < includeonly></includeonly>" instead of the Urheberrechtlich geschützt prompt.
In fact, I know that you have permission to edit such license templates, and I'm sure there might be some way to add the Japanese translation of Urheberrechtlich geschützt without affecting its display in German. I'm just letting you know because I know you'd think I reverted your edit for vandalism (it's happened to me before in previous edits), however I did so with the intention that the original function of this template wouldn't be affected. Hopefully this can be fixed soon. Good luck.

Welcome, Dear Filemover!
Hi TKsdik8900, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:
- Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
- Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
- Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.
rubin16 (talk) 13:45, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Your renames of File:L'Extase de saint Paul.jpg and some other files are not in line with Commons:File renaming. Criterion 4 does not apply here so please deny these requests in the future. Multichill (talk) 20:02, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for telling me. I will be careful from now on. --TKsdik8900 (talk) 00:49, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- The same goes for this move: File:Keizō Obuchi Cabinet 19990114.jpg. Please do not rename files under Criterion 4 simply because someone wants them to look the same in the category listing. TommyG (talk) 11:36, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- @TommyG: You mentioned not to simply rename files that are in the same category as Criterion 4, but in practice, such files can be subject to renaming. Take for example the files in this category. Back when I was not yet a filemover, I requested renaming of most of the files in that category, such as File:Masatake Terauchi Cabinet 19161009.jpg, File:Keigo Kiyoura Cabinet 19240107.jpg, File:Takaaki Katō Cabinet 19250329.jpg etc., for the reason: This move will lead to harmonising the names of images in this category. Then, all of them were accepted by filemovers: Kadı, Richardkiwi and CAPTAIN RAJU. Furthermore, I also requested renaming of the files of the ministers of the Second Kishida Cabinet, such as File:Genjorō Kaneko 20211004.jpg, File:Noriko Horiuchi 20160902.jpg, File:Seiko Noda 20211004.jpg etc., for the reason: This move will lead to harmonising the names of images of the Second Kishida Cabinet ministers. Then, likewise, all of them were accepted by the filemover: CAPTAIN RAJU. Thus, several filemovers accept these requests without declining them. Of course, I read the file renaming guideline and have found the statement: Just because images share a category does not mean that they are part of a set. However, even before I became a filemover, files that were not used in complex templates or were parts of a whole have been moved (please see Special:PermanentLink/672141930). You think that such files should never be moved, you may want to make a proposal to revise the guidelines to clearly state that. Telling just me to stop renaming has no impact on the community. --TKsdik8900 (talk) 13:18, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- I mentioned the file above specifically, since I declined a rename of it less than 2 hours before you renamed it. That other file movers rename files in violation of the rules the Commons society has agreed on, does not in any way justify you yourself doing it as well. There's no reason for me to make any proposal as you suggest, since the guidelines are already quite clear. TommyG (talk) 14:28, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

- TKsdik8900 stated that all the photos at "Category:Images from Chisou - Wikimedia Commons." including this photo were obtained from the website of Cabinet Office Regional Revitalization Promotion Office in Japan. However, it seems they are not available from the linked website. Moreover, the author (i.e., the organization) of the photos does not exist any longer due to organizational change. All the photos at "Category:Images from Chisou - Wikimedia Commons" should be removed since they do not have any official permission by the Japanese government. You may want to clarify the issue with TKsdik8900. Thank you! Okukawachi (talk) 14:59, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Okukawachi: You misinterpreted. First, you overwrote and uploaded this photograph without permission and without any licence or permission. Furthermore, without providing the source of it, too. Looking at your talk page, it appears that you have uploaded images of him several times which were not permitted. Just because they will be deleted, it is irresponsible to overwrite it over what the original image is already permitted. Second, the author of the photos still exists. I don't know if you can read Japanese, but on its author's page it says: 令和4年9月20日更新. It means 'Updated on 20 September 2022'. You can see that it has merely been updated. Also, you argued that they should be removed since they do not have any official permission by the Japanese government because they are not available from the linked website. However, if that argument is correct, then an immense amount of files in this category must be deleted, File:05tabata.jpg and File:08kawai.jpg for example. As you can see from here, files where the link of the source is broken, updated and it is no longer available, or the page is closed, are not deleted. Do you think these files must be deleted immediately? If so, please do it. --TKsdik8900 (talk) 00:18, 3 November 2022 (UTC)

Okukawachi (talk) 22:32, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Okukawachi: Is there any assurance that they were removed due to copyright infringement? As exemplified in the files above, it is common for images to be removed from a website or the page itself to be closed. It is hard to imagine that the all photos and pages that disappeared in this way were removed due to copyright infringement. If they were copyright infringements, do you think all such missing photos must have to be removed? In the first place, why did you overwrite this photograph without indicating any source? Before we start discussing about copyright infringement or licence, you are the one who uploaded it. Also, Commons:Overwriting existing files, an official guideline on Wikimedia Commons, illustrates that changes should be uploaded under a new name if they are substantial changes or completely unrelated file. Of course, if you didn't know that, it's no wonder, but you did not follow it. Please follow the guidelines generally. --TKsdik8900 (talk) 08:19, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
- @TKsdik8900: I do not mean to criticize your work. I really appreciate your hard work. You mentioned "Please see Usage Notes (利用上の注意) page." You mentioned only Number 1, 6) of that page. You can also refer to Number 1, 2) of that page. It seems that you need to obtain individual permission from all the governors and mayors. Okukawachi (talk) 23:11, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

Rollback right given
I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Commons:Rollback. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Jianhui67 T★C 09:47, 6 December 2022 (UTC)

Can you improve the Japanese translation of {{PD-Mexico}}?
I improved the tag's text [1] in english and in the spanish original, adding citations of Mexican laws. I do not speak the Japanese language nor do I have any knowledge of. Can you update the japanese text of PD-Mexico to reflect the same information as in the english and original spanish versions please? Thx. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 169.57.90.201 (talk) 13:19, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

File tagging File:副總統李登輝先生玉照 (國民大會實錄).jpg
This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:副總統李登輝先生玉照 (國民大會實錄).jpg.
Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:副總統李登輝先生玉照 (國民大會實錄).jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

About File:李登輝總統.jpg
I noticed you uploaded a better version of it, please also provide the corresponding source. Thx! Larryasou (talk) 14:37, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
- According to COM:OW, it does not state that it is necessary to provide corresponding sources for new versions of files when overwriting them. Could you give me the policy or guideline which prescribes that we have to do so? --TKsdik8900 (talk) 06:42, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
