Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Image:Ruhr_zeitung.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry on the Requests for Deletion page..
If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. In all cases, please do not take the deletion request personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

- ...without having a 'translator's certificate'...:
Allied Announcement Sheet Number 1: 12th of May 1945 (that was 4 days after the capitulation)
Requests, Letters and Notices are to be sent via your local staff of the Allied Occupation Authorities to the editors of "Ruhr Zeitung" c/o P & PW DeJ, 12th A. G. - A. P. O. 655 - U. S. Army
this is no stamp but printed within the other text. it was the beginning of 'Reeducation' of the German Civilians, who where at that moment without the right to publish any newspaper. It is absolutely comparable to the flyers raining from above some days earlier, with texts as Germans, give up - the war is over for you!. these single sheets were spread all over the occupied industrial area of Ruhrgebiet in 1.5 million copies. it must not be deleted - it's an important document of that time! --Ullipurwin 16:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Ullipurwin. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Ullipurwin~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
