Piping has been the primary cause of failure in most of the world’s earth dams. This paper covers the definition and various types of piping and piping causes and effects in earth dams. I will explain the difficulties in dealing with piping, and currently available solutions to prevent piping in earth dams during the design period and construction stage.

Diseases such as type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and obesity are all possible consequences if sugar consumption is not monitored properly. Proving to be one of the major dietary issues in the United States, added sugar can be credited millions of deaths. There needs to be a reform, and people need to prioritize their sugar consumption while planning their dietary habits correctly. Through research and investigation, added sugar and the effects of fructose have proven to be harmful to the human body. The damaging effects and high rates of consequential illness can be attributed to fructose’s mal absorption in the liver and the acidic quality that fructose possesses. Causing harm and disrupting most of the major systems of the body, fructose from added sugar needs to be limited. If proportioned appropriately, there will be a significant decrease in diseases caused by added sugar, ultimately leading to a healthier society.

The most exploited natural resource in Kurdistan is oil despite the fact that Kurdistan is rich in agricultural, livestock, and mining resources. In this paper, light will be shed on the current unexploited mining resources in Kurdistan. Also, the reasons behind lack of mining in Kurdistan will be discussed including social and political challenges. The economical requirement, achievement, development by utilizing the mining resources in industry will also be discussed. Most importantly, this paper will focus on the general waste management challenges including potential challenges with mining waste management, and discusses solutions to develop new mining resources with sustainability and well-engineered mining waste management.
