Most of this walk is fairly level and provides excellent cliff top walking. From start to finish you can experience the mining heritage, as well as keeping your eye out for the birdlife and wild flowers. This walk is particularly good for dogs as it passes beaches and pubs where dogs are welcome. -

The vast sandy beach at Perranporth is one of the best known in Cornwall, and has been featured numerous times in the TV series "Seaside Rescue". This is a very popular location for surfing. A lifeguard service is provided by the RNLI, and their white vehicle and jet-ski can be seen in the centre of the beach.
