Marcia Selleri on Instagram: "I want to show you my technique for using bisque fix. Bisque Fix is a white paste that can be used to mend bisque ceramics that are broken or have holes. It can also be colored to match the bisque using metal oxides or ceramic stains. And you can use it up to Cone 10!! 🤩 I would appreciate any comments or advice from you. Please share your thoughts and any other tips you have. 🙌✨ . . . #handbuiltceramics #ceramicstudio #ceramicartist #brokenbeetle #marselbottega" Ceramic Stains, Bisque Ceramics, Bisque Pottery, Pottery Lessons, Ceramic Bisque, November 9, Ceramic Studio, Ceramic Artists, Hand Built

Kalliope Yvonne on Instagram: "This is how I try to fix small cracks in my pottery. I use Amaco bisque fix, applied with a brush and lightly buffed down with my finger. Sometimes I clean up the surrounding area with a wet paintbrush. Not a guaranteed solution, but a great option to try! When fired, this material shows up vividly white under glazes (possibly showing through!) To work with that, I paint a layer of white underglaze over my piece and the bisque fix area to try and even out the base colors of my sculptures. I’m going to bisque fire the pieces again with the bisque fix and underglaze layer before I continue painting with underglazes. I like seeing the cracks patched before I move forward with the glazing process! Painting with underglaze on pottery can be done either during the greenware phase, or the bisque phase. Nikki Mizak chooses to do her underglaze painting on bisque fired clay and enjoys building up layers as you do in watercolor painting.
