The contribution of laser micro-profilometry combined with 3d modeling have allowed to reach the following objectives: a better readability of the coins, the understanding of the coin type, the confirmation of the attributions and the identification of the degradation elements (concretions and corrosions), providing quantitative and qualitative data.
