In the end, we chose solid hardwood for its longevity. You can refinish it a lot more times than engineered. I’m sure it’ll get quite a few scratches and good use, but honestly, so will any other floor. (You should see the LVP we currently have 🫣). 

These particular ones are a 7 in. wide, white oak plank. If you’re local to the Charlotte area, DM me and I’ll message you the local flooring store we purchased from.
