Morgan Sharpe on Instagram: "Peonies are the long game but boy are they worth it! Last year I planted 100 peonies in my front yard. This year I’m transplanting those 100 to the farm and adding another 250–that means I’ll have 350 peonies shooting up come spring! I may not get many blooms this year but don’t worry, they are coming!" Martha Stewart lives in my hometown. I may be biased, but it's one of the prettiest places in New York. Here's a glimpse at her backyard: Are these fields of flowers not to die for? If there's anyone who knows how to entertain on Easter (or any day), it's Martha Stewart. I asked if she would send over some tips for the best things to eat, drink, and decorate with. Here are her ideas for DIY gold-leaf eggs, a pretty (and pink!) cocktail recipe, and a perfect dinner party menu idea. The…

Lynsey Taulbee | 💐 Farm Marketing & Sales on Instagram: "My peony profit plan for 2024 includes: 20 buckets of peonies 40 peony subscriptions 200 bouquets (flower stand) 150 u-pick tickets 30 u-pick subscriptions 10 photography sessions 5 shipped peony subscriptions (trial program) 20 Muddy Farm Club memberships I know the number of stems I plan on selling and for how much. This is part of my profit plan for @muddyacresflowerfarm Or in other words, how I plan to generate profit. When you run a flower farm (or any biz) without a profit plan, you are simply hoping to sell as many flowers as possible. This could resemble building a house without architectural plans and hoping it comes out beautiful.🤷‍♀️ Comment PROFIT and I’ll send you the link to a article where I go into more detail ab Peony Field, Farm Marketing, Peony Farm, Beautiful Comments, Flower Stand, Flower Stands, Architecture Plan, Sales And Marketing, Flower Farm

Kim | Busy Bee Farm & Florals on Instagram: "Peony lovers this one is for you !! So Peony plants can be planted in the Fall or early Spring, but in my experience as long as the ground isn’t frozen you can also plant them in the Winter. My personal favourite time to plant them is in the Fall.

Peonies should be planted no deeper than 1-2 inches below the soil level in an area that preferably gets full sun. Peonies like well draining soil. I have prepped this bed with gorgeous soil developer compost from @farmtogarden. You can mention Busy Bee Farm & Florals for 10% off your first order. It is important for peonies to have good air circulation, so make sure you aren’t planting them too closely to other plants as they can really expand in size over the years.
