In the past we've made play dough models of the earth; that's lots of fun, but I wanted something even easier to put on the shelf that the kids could work on independently. Heres the Homemade dohs recipe

1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
3/4 cup water
3 table spoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Food colours : Red (inner core), orange(outer core), yellow (mantle), Brown (crust), Green (land), blue(water)

Make sure the water is warm and knead your doh well. To store use airtight containers or ziplock pouches.

How to make : Follow the video and keep wrapping the smaller balls of doh into bigger ones.

Knowledge of Earth’s interior is derived primarily from analysis of the seismic waves that propagate through Earth as a result of earthquakes.
