On day 18, the 3rd April 2018, the website Lubalin 100 celebrated the discovery of some long lost PBS logo animations, that were originally animated sometime after 1971, by having all 3 recreated.

Renowned American graphic designer, Herb Lubalin, best known for his collaborations with Ralph Ginzburg on the magazines _Eros, Fact_ and _Avant Garde,_ is regarded as one of the seminal designers of the 20th century. Tomorrow, 17 March 2018, will mark what would have been Lubalin’s 100th birthday. Tom Carnase (1939 - ) has produced some of the most memorable product lettering and logographic designs of the last 50 years for a who’s who of corporate clients, including Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Saks Fifth Avenue, Consumer Reports, Fortune magazine and L'eggs. In addition, he has designed, or co-designed, over 100 typefaces, including the iconic ITC Avant Garde Gothic and WTC Bodoni, both of which influenced a generation of graphic designers.
