Ghana Amer is a multimedia artist best known for her erotic embroidered paintings. She combines explicit sexual acts with delicate embroidery work with acrylic and gel mediums. She takes on the social issues of sexuality, female identity, postcolonial identities, and the Islamic culture in her work.
