* Path of Positivity: Strong and Beautiful

Hello!

Happy Monday!
I hope you are staying safe and well.

Today is the midway point of a the Path of Positivity challenge.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Family Ties.

Prizes this month include:
  • $12 gift certificate from Bugaboo Stamps our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.
So, our optional theme this month is Family Ties.
Families are a very important part of our lives. This month create a project that shows one of your own family connections.

Please remember in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

I used an image from Bugaboo Stamps, our sponsor for this month, and quote from our ongoing sponsor, Scribbles Designs.

My card represents my family tie with my niece.
She is a beautiful young woman, who is quite strong and fearless, despite having anxiety issues. She is happy to be true to herself, no matter what others may feel.
She has the most amazing blue hair which fades to this beautiful turquoise. At her prom she wore a gorgeous red ball gown and that is how I have depicted her in this lovely Bugaboo Stamps image:

I used the Bugaboo Beauty digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps with a sentiment, Strong, Fearless, Beautiful which is free from Scribbles. I coloured the image with Copics and fussy cut it. I made the background from a scrap of card used to brayer off excess Fresco Chalk paints. I added heat embossing in white and some stamping. I die cut the sentiment with a plain circle die to echo the heat embossed circles in the background. Both the image and sentiment were popped on foam tape to add dimension to the card.

Many thanks to Bugaboo Stamps, this month's guest sponsor,
and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

We would love to see your creations!
Just make sure that your entry is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way!

* Path of Positivity: Take Time to Smell The Flowers

Hello!

Happy Monday!
I hope you are staying safe and well.

Today is the start of a new Path of Positivity challenge.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Family Ties.

Families are a very important part of our lives. This month create a project that shows one of your own family connections.

Please remember in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

I was lucky to receive an image from Bugaboo Stamps, our sponsor for this month, and quote from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.

My card represents my family tie with my sister. She is the kindest, most caring person I know and she will do anything to help anyone! She always puts her own needs behind those of her family and friends and I feel the sentiment expresses what she needs to be reminded from time to time.

I used the Pretty Flower Girl digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps with a sentiment, Take Time ... Set 1 from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles. I coloured the image with Copics and fussy cut it. I used Alizarin Crimson Brushos, sprinkled lightly onto 300 gsm card and lightly spritzed with water, to create the pink background. I overlaid a die cut white card to let the pink show through and adhered the image in place. The sentiment was cut with a banner die and adhered on foam tape for dimension.

Many thanks to Bugaboo Stamps, this month's guest sponsor,
and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

{Pin}spirational Challenge: Bugaboo Basket of Hearts

Hello!

Today is the start of a new challenge at
{PIN}spirational Challenges.

Challenge #183 runs until 13th February.
This time we are sponsored by the wonderful Bugaboo.

And this is the inspiration photo:

How will this inspire you?

I was lucky to get a Bugaboo digital stamp called Heart Basket and this is what I made:

For me this is a CAS card. I like CAS cards, but do struggle with making them; however I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out!  I coloured my image with alcohol markers and fussy cut it. Glitter was applied to add a bit of sparkle. I popped it on foam pads onto embossed card. This was matted on to black card and then on to shocking pink textured card. I left it open, without a sentiment, so that it can be used as a Thank You, Thinking of You or even a Valentine card.

That's all from me today.  hope you'll pop over to
to check out the gorgeous designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to take part in the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today.

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie: Bugaboo Penguins

Hello crafty friends!

I hope your week is going well.
Here in the NW of England we are managing to keep warm and haven't had the snow ... yet.

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.
You can enter your projects until January 25th.

Our sponsor is the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps.

And here is the image to spark your imagination:

Such beautiful penguin and snowflake cookies.
How will they inspire you?

I was lucky to be given a Bugaboo stamp to work with - it's the Penguin Trio Block and I went along with a similar colour scheme to the photo.

The image  was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and iridescent glitter applied to the snow caps and flakes. The image was matted on to black card.
The background was made by blending distress inks (Tim Holtz  Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac) onto satin silk art card from Inkilicious. Snowflake clusters were stamped in clear embossing ink to give a watermark effect, then some snowflakes were heat embossed with Snowflake Tinsel embossing powder. The background was then matted onto black card and the image block adhered on foam pads.

That's all from me for today. Now it's over to you...

Please pop over to the
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie
challenge blog to check out the lovely designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to share your projects in the challenge!

You could win digi stamps or become one of our 'Top Cookies'!

Thanks for stopping by today!

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie: Game Boy

Hello crafty friends!

A special warm welcome to Fit Kitty, MaryH and Megan J, my newest followers - I'm so happy to have you here!

Today I'm delighted to share my first post as part of the DT for
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.

Every two weeks we are given a fantastic cookie photo to spark our imagination and this is the current one:

I immediately thought of my teenage nephew, Callum, who loves his computer games, and his birthday is this week, so I made my card especially for him.

The generous sponsors for this challenges are:

and

My card was placed in Top 3 at Unicorn Challenge.

Here is my card:

I used an image from one of our sponsors,  Bugaboo, which you can find here
It was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers. The papers are from the Wildflower paper pad by Trim Craft. I matted each layer with black card for some extra definition. The banner is the largest of the Cheery Lynn Pierced Banner dies and the frame for the image was made using two of the Cottage Cutz Stitched Rectangle dies. I built up the frame by glueing together card and paper and edged it in black ink. The sentiment is die cut and mounted on black card which was 'bumped' above and below to give a shadow effect (and this also made it sturdier and easier to read).
The image in its frame was popped onto foam pads, whilst the sentiment overlapped the picture frame and needed foam dots to support it on the side.

Now it's over to you. The challenge runs until 5th October.  Please pop over to the
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie
challenge blog to check out the lovely designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to take part in the challenge!
