Today is my last crafty Tuesday of the year with the group of women I've recently joined. I wanted to bring a little token something to give to each of them. I stopped by Target and found cute gift card sized pillow boxes in white with green and red foiled dots. They were 3 to a pack for 1.00.
I picked up a bag of Ghiradellli Peppermint Bark squares and a bit of red gift bag filler. I figured I could put 3 squares in each with a bit of filler and make a tag for the front and it would be a cute crafty lil something.
What do you think?
I cut the tag with a PTI die, stamped and white embossed the Stampin Up Sentiment and added a string bow with a tiny Pretty Pink Posh jingle bell. Hope you are having a fabulous day!

A tag for
The Tag You're It challenge. I am not usually a tag maker. If I make a tag it is going to end up on a card sooner or later. I really loved the sweet tag made by Heather Campbell, and her remake of her own tag. Click on the link above and check them out.
I inspired by the double layer, the colors, and the sweet little bow on top.
Here is my take on the inspiration:
I cut the tag die twice, once out of card stock and once out of a small sheet of polka dotted vellum which I have been saving forever. I stamped the sentiment, then the kitty cat and the flowers. The flowers have inverted 4 mm sequins as their centers, it adds a bit of shine. The cat was colored with pencils and blended lightly with gamsol. The bow was cut from another scrap of heart dotted paper.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Die - Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3
Stamps - Mama Elephant Purrfect Pair; Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts
Inks - Memento Tuxedo Black, A Muse Grapefruit, Mama Elephant Mojito
Pencils - Artist's Loft, gamsol bottled by Inky Antics, paper stump for blending
Sequins - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Spring Tag at Retro 103
Keeping up with my resolution to play in more challenges, tonight I have a tag for Retro Sketches #103.
I actually used a bit of pink dotted washi tape and I don't want to through it away. Yea! (I am so washi impaired.)
I had a few bits sitting in my little bowl on my table and pulled them together for this tag. Some white flowers from Recollections, a Martha Stewart Doily, some pink washi tape from Target. Then I gathered some die cut leaves from Betty, and some Hero Arts gems from Barb.
I embossed the tag first because there might have been a bit too much whiteness for my liking. I like the texture on the tag. The sentiment is from Simon Says stamp.

Tags
I am so not ready for my holiday celebrations. I just barely got my Christmas cards mailed off, I will post them early next week.
I decided to make some gift tags. I made two sets, one in Silver and one in Gold. I used the curling ribbon because I love the nostalgic feel of it. It really reminds me of my childhood Christmases.
I used patterned papers as the background on two of the tags, stamps used were from Hero Arts and Stampendous, Versamark embossing ink, and Stampendous embossing powders, the tags were from my LSS.
It is very difficult to show the lushness of the silver and gold embossing in the photographs. The tags are also big, 2.5 by 5 inches. I have some large pre-wrapped boxes they will compliment.
My favorites are the poinsettia tags. I stamped those in versamark, then embossed in either gold or silver, then sponged the flower centers with Barn Door distress ink.
Thanks so much for taking a look.
