Ha-Ha.....Yep it is!!!! Hi there everyone, hope your days are not going as fast as mine are. Not exactly looking forward to Tuesday, cause that is when I have a date with the dentist to get this tooth pulled. OIE....no, not looking forward to it. I wish I was not such a scardy cat!!!! But I am.
Oh but first comes Monday....and Monday projects include:
1) JP has a blood test in the morning. They think he might have diabetes.
2) In the afternoon a lady is stopping by from "Rebuilding together" to see how much lawn work needs to be done. Yes....they will spruce up the front yard and back yard...that will be a great help. Otherwise it just may take me all summer to get stuff done.
3) Call and cancel Accident Insurance...that will be $36 extra in the pocket a month.
4) Call a plumber...our sink is backed up and I can't get it unclogged. We tried all day but to no avail. So the dirty dishes sit on the counter.
Probably sometime this week the project manager from "Rebuilding Together" will be in touch with us to walk through the house to see all that needs to be done. The biggest project will be the ceiling getting fixed......
Along with a few other projects, new gutters, porch painted, some electrical work, shutters painted and put up. we might even get a taller new toilet and get the leak fixed in the bathroom sink. Too bad the plugged drain could not coincide with all this other work being done. Will see what happens in the next week or so....but so far my Monday and Tuesday is VERY BUSY!!!! One thing is for sure....there will be plenty of pictures...stay tuned.
And the Winners of this lovely card was: Biz, Diana, Patty and Angela. Hope you all like your card...it was fun making them and sending them on their way. Be Blessed.
Wednesday I have a date with my friend to go to her house and make some cards....that is always a fun time....Thursday I will post the cards here.
Wow....Thursday and Friday are wide open for now....we'll see what takes place and what comes up....you never know.
Well, you all have a great week and keep looking up!!
Cheers ~ Louise

WHAT?????
Hahahahahaha......hope you had a wonderful Sunday. It was beautiful today, sunny and crisp, a good day to be alive!!!!
I put a pork tenderloin in the crock pot along with some of my homemade sauerkraut at 8:30am this morning, by the time we got home at 12:30, the meat temp was 160 degrees. So I waited for about an hour, putzed around the house, sat on the front porch and turned my water fountain on. Got dinner ready, toast, salad and applesauce. It was a lovely meal to savior on a beautiful day like this.
Checked out what was on the computer, took a short nap and then took Kylie for a little walk. About 5:00 we raked some leaves, cut my peonies, lavender and irises down. Tomorrow is leaf collection. So we need to get as much out there for the city to collect as possible.
So here I am typing away on this blog....nothing much important going on this week that I know of....maybe just finish winterizing the front and back yard. I still have one tomato bush producing, it sits on the front porch...the frost has not gotten to it yet....so little tomatoes for salads are on the agenda for them.
Well time to close....the Packers are about to kick the ball and play tonight...time to go watch them play and win......hopefully. Have a great couple of days and enjoy the beautiful weather till the snow begins to fly!!! Cheers ~ Louise

A Very Short Weekend
Hi there everyone. Wow...where did that weekend go to??? And it is Monday again...how fast these days go. Here I was overwhelming myself with so much I had to accomplish before JP's family came for a visit...and it is all over. Guess I got everything done, actually had 15 minutes to spare before they drove up the driveway...to paint my nails.
We had a good time. Sat around and talked, then walked to the park, which was 4 blocks from our house....geez, we hadn't done that in the 23 years we lived here. What in the world have we been doing with our lives????? It always helps when you have a little tyke tagging along to keep things going. First he had to see the fountain and play in the water, then he spied the slides and swings and was off and running for them. Then we walked home and got ready to go to the Bed and Breakfast they were planning to stay at. What a beautiful old house. JP's family was able to stay in the castle part of the house which was a little suite with a Jacuzzi. Will have to ask if they used it....that would be my first choice to try out. Their breakfast was Lemon poppy seed stuffed waffles with whipped cream and Prince Albert Eggs (whatever that is). Callie said breakfast was delicious!!!
We did go out to eat at a restaurant called "Little Chicago" I had a prime rib sandwich, JP had a cheeseburger. The others had porkchops, chicken and little Dominick had mac and cheese. We came back to the house, talked awhile and then had dessert. Ice cream, cake and cookies. Then suddenly they were gone, to spend the rest of the evening at the Bed and Breakfast. A totally FAST weekend....today...I rested all day. I was actually pooped from all the activity of the last couple of days. I guess my age is catching up with me. My mind is willing, but the body is not anymore.
When the company left, I cleaned up a bit, put my pj's on and went to bed...which was very early for me, like 10:30pm early. Then in the distant, I heard thunder.....yes it was raining...and then I began to worry about the roof leaking and putting out the buckets in the right place to catch the rain drops.....when will this end?????
We did have a couple of roofers come and look at the roof this past week and give estimates to the agency that may be helping us....but have not heard anything yet. In the mean time, we wait. For them to fix the problem or for the ceiling to cave in. Which one will come first????
Well, time to close this blog before I get too depressing. You all have a great week and keep looking up-past all the problems. Somewhere, somehow these problems are all taken care of in the Cross of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. Cheers ~ Louise

MONDAY!!!!!!!
Hi everyone.....bawhahahahahahah....What a funny face on the little pooch. Found him on Pinterest and could not resist!
Hope you had a great weekend and celebrated Resurrection Sunday with family and friends. We went out to eat....have not done that in a long time, it was fun. Cause I didn't have to do dishes afterwards. A small buffet with chicken, potatoes, dressing, eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, toast, salads and desserts....oh yum, I was full. We didn't do much today except just relax. I still have the paper to look over.
We watched Jimmy Swaggart on the computer today....usually we can get him on the TV but the connection was not working. Someone from AT&T is coming out tomorrow to fix the problem, I hope. I had to call and talk to someone in Manila, Philippine's....oh geez I really dislike having to jump through these hoops to get something done right...this whole thing is unacceptable, to say the least!!!
Well, time to close, I am getting tired and it's almost 2:00 am, time to hit the pillows....so I am not grumpy when the AT&T guy is here.
Cheers to you all ~ Louise

Monday, Monday
Hi everyone....how is your Monday going so far??? Mine?? Okay, I am taking it easy today (hahaha) as I do every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc, etc through to the next Monday. Not really though, it's a beautiful day here in Wisconsin, at least this part of Wisconsin. Sunny and blue skies and the temprature is 62 degrees, perfect!!!
Well, we had a wonderful visit with family on Saturday. They were here for 6 short hours then headed back to Chicago. Original plans were that they would stay the night in a hotel...but it was Green Bay Packer weekend and there were no hotel rooms to be had in Appleton. So they left early in the morning to get here. Leaving at 6pm to get home.
JP and I have made trips like that also, leaving here early and going down to Chicago to visit then coming back the same day, it's about a 3 1/2 hour drive if you don't stop much....JP likes to drive, so it never bothered him. But, that was when we were in our younger years. Maybe now, not so much.
So we went to BJ Clancy's, it's a nice place that JP and I like to go to on our Birthdays...where one or the other gets a free steak meal. So we thought it would be fun to go there with the family. They seemed to like it, food and service was good. Sorry, no pictures.....gosh I didn't even get a family shot for some reason, what was I thinking????? I am a "picture kind of person" and what, I only took two pictures??????
It was raining all day....that was the crumby part, it was coming down in bucket fulls when we got to the restaurant.....and we all got wet!!! But we laughed it off. Now if they would have come yesterday, it was a beautiful day.......what a difference a day makes, but a perfect day for the Packers (oh Packers won, beating the Detroit Lyons 22-3).
So this week, I may have a 1 or 2 day garage sale, as long as things are still set up and maybe next week also. All depends on the weather though. According to my books I did the same thing last year, it was a little chilly, but I did sell a few things. The less I have to put away, the happier I will be.
Well, I think I shall close here, I am sort of wandering around, so you all have a great day and a great week and keep looking up for your redemption draws nigh.
Cheers ~ Louise

A Funny Picture Today
HaHaHaHa..........I needed a fun picture today and found this in my stored-up pictures saved on the "stick". Sooooo today is MONDAY!!!!! What have you got planed for today and for the rest of this week???? Fifteen days till Christmas and I still have lots to do.
Made some peppermint cookies last week and some cut out ginger and butter cookies yesterday. Today I need to decorate them. Will be putting a little box together for the step-father out in Las Vegas along with a stuffed doggie. Picked him up for $3 at the thrift store. Pops usually complains. "Don't send me money, don't send me crossword puzzles, don't send me candy".................maybe someday I will not send him anything, see how he likes that. Sometimes situations like this, can take the joy of giving out of Christmas.
Still have some cards to make and a few gifts to make. Still have JP's gift to make, his race car scrapbook. Hopefully I can get a few pages done, so he gets the idea of what it will look like, wrap it up and put it under our little tree.
We have been invited out for Christmas dinner, so that will be nice, don't have to cook Christmas day. The pastor and his wife treated JP and I to my birthday (Nov. 21st) dinner yesterday, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots. There was enough for take-home and another meal, so I didn't have to cook yesterday either. AAHHH those little bonuses in life, aren't they grand?
Well, there is no sense stressing over Christmas, it is not worth it, if things get done, they get done, if not, there really is no one to impress, I still have our little tree to decorate and put up my Christmas village. So I guess in the next 15 days will be busy. Then comes January and TAXES!!! Uge, that is when I shall stress!!!! You all enjoy Christmas and have a great time but still keep looking up for your redemption draws nigh. Cheers ~ Louise

Coffee and Taxes and Garage Sales
NOT!!!!! |
Going to have a garage sale September 20th and 21st, am hoping the weather will be fine, if not I am sunk. I could try for this next week-end I suppose, but would really have to hustle to get stuff marked and set-up. Much depends on the weather, no one will come in the rain, I wouldn't.
Retirement has been very busy for me.......don't know where I would fit in working if I was still doing that. And, how in the world did I do it all those years of working and keeping a house and all the other things I was involved in......just don't know. I didn't even have "kids" added to the quota. Just a husband and lots of animals along the way. I guess we do what we have to do at the time we are doing it!!!! It all works out in the end like the wash on Monday mornings!!!
Well, I better get going if I am even going to accomplish a few things today, like try at least getting the garage cleaned and ready for the Garage sale. See ya' later and have a great day in what ever you do today and keep looking up for your redemption drawth nigh!!! Cheers to all ~ Louise

♫♪♫ Monday, Monday ♫♪♫
Do you remember that song by the "Mama's and Papa's????? Monday, Monday, so good to me.....(must find the words for this blog)
Yeah, it was a little hard to wake up this morning. This cute kitty says it all, took this picture off Facebook today.....just made me laugh!!! Well it was a quiet and busy weekend. Went to a paper sale at PaperCuts and an "Amuse" stamping party and open house at Betty's place. Made 2 make n' take cards at the paper sale and 3 make n' take cards at Betty's. All very good ideas to use for future cards. Spent a little bit of money but, is that not the idea????????? After my field trip of sorts, JP and I went for a short date to the antique store and looked around at all the old things that I remember as a child and are now ANTIQUES.....oh if only I had known as a young kid, to start collecting, would have been rich or would I have been called a hoarder and pack-rat???? Who knows, maybe if I sold some of our old stuff, I could make a few bucks, but it is hard to part with some of my "stuff". Didn't make anything special this week-end. We were just basically trying to keep cool. Friday, was half a chicken in my Nu-Wave which keeps the kitchen cool and a stir-fry of vegies. Saturday, JP ate left overs, fruit bowl and pannais for supper. Sunday, BLT pannis, beans, left over stir-fry vegies, ceaser pasta salad and fruit. Simple, simple, simple. Trying to figure out why I took so long to write a blog.....it's been a week since I last wrote, must have been on a "blog vacation" or something. Actually been playing on Pinterest alot lately.........sure can be addicting. Guess, I am vacationing there...........no I did not vacate, (that's where vacation comes from, when you vacate one place to go someplace else). Maybe I just got side-tracted. So listen, if you feel like it, go to http://www.pinterest.com/ and type in Louise Langefeld Gatti and check out my boards, you can see some of my favorite things, cards, crafts, water fountains, places to visit, diets, food and more food and lots of refreshing drinks!!!! Check it out, you will be glad you did. Guess it is time to close, this computer is acting up. I threaten to take it into Office Depot for a cleaning but I just know they will say..........."oh you need a new Windows 8 computer" or just try to sell me an older computer just to get it off the floor to make room for the new ones. But then, we both need our eyes checked and it looks like another used car is in our future. Soooooo you all take care and keep looking up for your redemption drawth nigh. Cheers to you ~ Louise |

Funny Monday!!!!
Funny, funny, funny Monday!!!
Saw this picture of the nosey doggy on the internet.....think it was Pinterest, copy and paste. Sometimes I just don't have anything interesting to say.
I cleaned all my pictures off my computer Saturday and onto a USB Drive with 16gb, guess it will hold about 5,200 pictures. Thought maybe my computer would run alittle faster, but seems to be going at the regular speed........SLOW!!!
Thinking of getting a new Cannon camera this week. $149 camera for $99. Need a new camera, my old cannon is a 3.2 pixel, took great pictures but it goes through batteries like no bodies business and for some reason the time and date setting is not working and always seems to pop up, has become a nusience to me and instead of the pictures going into their specific dates, all the pictures would go into 1980 even if I set the time and date, didn't matter. So, I guess the camera gave up trying to work. I have probably had this camera for over 10 years........gosh, whenever they were still using 3.2 pixels, for however long that is.
Not planning to do alot today, maybe just work around the house. Tuesday I have blood test @ 10am and JP has an appointment @ 10:45am.......wonder if we will be able to make both appointments in a timely fashion.....the appointments were made for us.....I will try and rush my appointment up a notch.....should work out okay.
Made a wonder pot of soup today (Sunday) Slow Cooker Taco Soup......gosh was that delicious!!!!
Here is the recipe:
1 lb Ground beef (I used ground turkey)
1 onion, chopped
1-16 oz Chil beans w/liquid
2 cups water
2-14.5 oz diced Tomatoes
1-15 oz kidney beans w/liquid
1-15 oz corn w/liquid
1-8oz tomato sauce
1-4oz green chili peppers (I did not use)
1 Taco Seasoning Packet
Directions: Brown meat with onions (I also used 1/2 chopped green peppers) Drain well if needed. Mix all ingredients together in a slow cooker and cook on low setting for 8 hours. You can also use a dutch oven or large pot and cook up right away. Serve with chips, sour cream and grated cheese on top!!
Absolutely delicious!!!
Well, you have a great day and keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh.
Cheers ~ Louise

Monday ♥ Funday!!!!
So I have not decided what this cute little puppy is saying, is he sad? Embarrassed? Sorry? Maybe his toy was taken away or he is being hollered at????? Who knows, just thought his cute little face said it all. Anyways it is Monday and a Funday......not sure what I will be doing. Maybe take down my little Christmas tree and village......guess it is about time. YES, I still have some Christmas stuff up yet.......don't want to rush it you know!!!! Takes too long for me to put it up, then to take it down within the month of December? Naw.....have to enjoy it a little bit more then just one month!!!
Not too much happening, not doing too many exciting things. I always thought January and February should be times of REST and just do not much of anything, sort of like hybernate like the animals do. Sounds good to me, Spring comes fast once the snow disappears. We had the roof fixed last fall, so maybe spring won't be a frustration to us. This year we have to think about getting the ceiling fixed.....AFTER....we see if it is not leaking.
Been working on making some cards........made a few more Valentines cards last night, then on to St. Patrick cards and get some into my Etsy store and on to this blog. I am always so amazed how some of my fellow bloggers can get a card up everyday. I have this one blog I like to go to every day to see what she has made..........such good ideas they are always so fresh looking. She tells alittle about how she made it, and what stamps she used. Here is her address: http://scrappinandstampiningj.blogspot.com/ went to her blog and got the right addy! Hope this take you to her blog. Enjoy!!!
Guess I will close for now, keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh!!!
