Glitzology "Blue Lagoon"

Okay before the end of the year I HAVE to share this beauty with you!

Glitzology "Blue Lagoon" layered over Essie "Trophy Wife".

I did 2 layers of "Trophy Wife" and then 2 layers of "Blue Lagoon".

Bottle Shot

Glitzology "Blue Lagoon" has all shades of blue and turquoise, navy, gold and green glitter.  This polish contains squares, hexagons, bar and diamond glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes. The glitter is thick and I added 10 drops of thinner to help "de-clump" the glitter. After I added he thinner, it was perfect and applied easily. :)

Glitter polishes are notorious for lasting longer than most colors, and this was no exception. I wore this for 5 days and easily could have gone 5 more days, it has amazing "wear time". :)

Bottle Shot

Essie "Trophy Wife" is a deep teal shimmer. The perfect base color for "Blue Lagoon". 2 coats is good to get opacity if you are going to wear this by itself :)

Here are some shots in indirect lighting...

The combo of blue, teal and gold is soooo amazing, I just love the mermaid colors!

Essie "Leading Lady" and Barielle "Lava Rock"

Hey there...are you ready for some Turkey and cranberry sauce?  This next manicure totally reminds me of cranberry sauce, definitely making me HUNGRY! :)

Essie "Leading Lady" and Barielle "Lava Rock".

I loved this manicure, super rich and glamorous!  I wanted to give this glitter a darker base to see if I could just darken it up...just a tad! :)

Bottle shot

"Leading Lady" is a dark cranberry red jelly with cranberry glitter. Very pretty and opaque in 2 coats on it's own. Applied nicely, and dried smooth. :)

"Lava Rock" is a blackened deep plum red shimmer. Very pretty on it's own, and opaque in 2 coats.

I did 1 good coat of "Lava Rock" and then 2 coats of "Leading Lady".  I paired the 2 of them together, and WOW, what a difference a darkened base makes!!! Amazing!!!

This manicure dried smooth, no glitter monsters here! I still did 2 coats of top coat, so no issues as far as wear-time, this manicure lasted the usual 4 days no chips!

Yummy, yummy cranberries on my nails! What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?...for me it's the turkey, I love TURKEY!!!!

And if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, what is your favorite part about ANY holiday?

Essie and Ninja Polish "Zultanite"

Hello, how are you doing with this changing fall weather? I am happy it is finally cooling down in California, and happy that we no longer have any 90+ degree temp days!

Well today I have a color changing polish that will blow your socks into next season!

Ninja Polish "Zultanite" from the Facets Collection.

I put on the Essie, and although it was a great color, I just couldn't bare to wear it alone, so I topped with with 2 coats of "Zultanite"...AMAZING!!!!!

Ninja Polish "Zultanite", is an amazing color changing polish, that shifts from gold, to green , to blue, to bronze, and is truly AMAZING! The site suggest that it is best over black and dark brown, but I think over Essie "Stylenomics", it was earth shattering!

Essie "Stylenomics", is a dark pine needle green creme, with strong blue undertones. My bottle was a bit runny and I had pooling issues along the cuticle. :(  After 1 thick-ish coat of the Essie, I decided to follow it up with 2 coats of Zultanite, and wow did it impress me :)

Also it dried super smooth, so my usual 2 coats of top coat left this manicure super shiny, and glassy smooth.

Here it is in indirect light...

Look at that bronze color...LOVE!!!

Seriously amazing. :) This color is sold out now, but go to Ninjapolish.com now and sign up for an email reminder.  You don't want to miss this once it comes back in stock :)

Mash-Up: Midnight Cami what a Stroke of Brilliance!

I haven't done a mash-up in a while, so here is another. 1 brand + 2 polishes= PERFECTION!

Essie "Midnight Cami" and "Stroke of Brilliance".

I applied 2 coats of Essie "Midnight Cami" and then 1 coat of "Stroke of Brilliance". Then my usual 2 coats of top coat, OPI Top Coat and then SV.

I have had "Midnight Cami" for over a year and I have never applied it until ow...someone smack me PLEASE! LOL!

This dark navy blue shimmer is gorgeous! Easily the most "slept on" polish in my collection. I'm definitely wearing this again. :)

Application was smooth and perfect in 2 coats and it was simply stunning! No issues!

Essie "stroke of brilliance", applied perfectly too! 1 coat and I got exactly the coverage I needed, and it was super smooth, A+++ on this formula Essie. Keep up the great work!

Both can be purchased at your local drugstore, "stroke of brilliance" was seasonal and may be harder to find now, grab them if you can!!!!

Dots Dots, and More Dots!

Hey there, today I have a super cute and groovy manicure I did a couple weeks ago. I was watching the Olympics and felt inspired by the crazy color combinations of the gymnast uniforms, so I came up with this.

"Essie: Bikini So Teeny", Rimmel "Sunshine" (received in Int'l swap), and Orly "Old School Orange".

First I applied a base coat, then I painted the corner tip yellow, topped it with a smaller triangle of orange and then the blue.  Then I added dots of varying sizes starting from the yellow triangle up, and so on with the orange, and then the blue. That's it!!! :)

Essie Bikini so teeny is a great bright cornflower blue creme, with the tiniest sparkle in it. You can see it better in the bottle than on the nail, but if you look close on the nail, you can spot a sparkle or two :) It took 2 coats to be opaque, no application issues.

It was released this summer by Essie. Normally Essie and I DO NOT get along, but this color, and many others from their newer releases are winners in my book!
