Week 2 Christmas Card

My 2nd Christmas card, (making at least 1 a week).  I got inspiration from google.
The main stamp is from Stampscapes, the branches is a tree stamp from Art Impressions (had it for years) and the sentiment is from my favourite set by Just Rite Stamps.  I coloured the cabin with proMarkers the rest was done with Distress Inks.  I also used a white pen for the snow.  The cabin stamp includes the trees and water in front, it's a waterside cabin.  I masked off the water with a sticky note while inking up the stamp as I wanted snow all around.
Thanks for looking.

Stampscape Stamps

I just love these stamps and have quite a few of them now, I just haven't used them for quite a while.
I stamped onto Satin Art Card from Inkylicious and used a mix of Distress Inks and Adirondacks applied with Colour Box stylus tool.
Thanks for looking

HappyNew Year!

Happy New Year to all my blog readers.  It's my lovely Brother In Law  Les's 70th birthday on Monday, so I got my stampscape stamps out for his card.  I can't believe he's 70 already, it only seems like yesterday since he was teaching me to knit when I was about 8.  I've always had a great relationship with him, so he deserves a card which takes longer to make.
All stamps used in the image are by Stampscapes, I used distress inks to colour the image all applied with brushes and sponges.  I used stamps by Clarity for the wording and a stamp from Inkylicious for the scrolls.
And here's a photo of my big Sister Chris and Brother In Law Les.

Happy Birthday to my Daughter!

Today is my Daughter, Becky's 24th birthday, oh it doesn't seem 5 minutes since I had her........
I got my Pan Pastels out for this one, the first time I've actually used them for a card, I've only messed around with them, think I been a bit scared of them...... I don't know why, because they're easier to use than inks!.....lol.  First I used the negative of the moon mask, and sponged on some of the yellow Pastel, then I swapped over and used the positive of the mask and added the rest of the colours, blending them in to each other.  I then removed the mask and blended some pink over it to 'soften' the sun.  Before stamping, I set the Pastels with some cheap hairspray.  Once it had dried I started with the stamping.  I used a mix of stamps from Inkylicious - cat, butterflies and grasses, Lavinia - the stars, and the tree bough is a Stampscape stamp, I added a sprinkling of glitter to the stars to give it that magical feel.  The text border was done on the computer.
Pan Pastel colours I used are -Bright Yell. Green Tint, Bright Yell. Green Shade, Orange Tint, Magenta Tint, Magenta Shade and Phthalo Blue Tint.
Thanks for looking.

Stampscapes

I've had a couple of mens cards to make for this month, so thought I'd play with my Stampscape stamps, and here's the results.

All stamps from Stampscapes apart from the birds which are from Inkylicious, I used Distress Inks to colour the images.  The printed borders and sentiments were made on Word.

Hubby's Birthday Card

I recently bought some new stamps from Stampscape Stamps and finally got round to trying them out.  All I can say is, I love them!
When I make this kind of card, I always stamp in black Versafine and heat emboss using clear embossing powder, that way when the coloured inks are added there's no smudging.  I wasn't sure if that technique would work with these stamps as they're so fine, but it worked brilliantly.

If you love stamping, and haven't tried these stamps yet, then you must.  I felt a bit unsure of them at first, but the really are lovely to work with, and stamp lovely with very little pressure.

I coloured the log cabin with ProMarkers once I'd finished the inking.  I used Distress Inks and Adirondaks with blending brushes.
