Here is the farm house kitchen cupboard, a fairly usual style in the early Twentieth Century. That is evidenced by the woof green flour bin and sifter. The Hoosier Manufacturing Company established a tightly controlled organization of dealers who sold their cabinets. With only one dealer allowed in a town, the dealerships became a lucrative and coveted franchise for merchants. Prices were set by the company, dealers could not charge more or less for the cabinets. The company also oversaw much of the advertising for their products. By 1916, there were more than 5000 authorized Hoosier dealers.

This mixed-wood I-X-L is nicely-refinished in a medium red-brown stain and features a cream and mint-green-edged enamel top. The etched glass up top gives it a classic look and it has lots of great-looking, original hardware.
