All that smooshing, smearing, poking, prodding, mixing, and stretching the clay is not only super fun but a great way to strengthen fine motor muscles and build dexterity and coordination. 

Activities that promote fine motor development are important in the early years because they lay the foundation for becoming a confident and coordinated writer down the track.✍️

We used the Kaleidoscope air dry clay and round canvas from @bigwaustralia . My toddler loved pinching bits of clay and smooshing them into the canvas as well as mixing/layering all the colours together🌈
