Unfortunately, due to circumstances involving school, exams and activities, my presence on Bulbapedia may appear redundant for the next number of weeks (as it perhaps already has been for the past few), however I will occasionally return to check on messages, and anything of immediate concern. Communication with me for the time being would be best via email. Rest assured when life has settled down, I shall resume my regularity. Thank you.

Trainers
If you want to reformat trainers on route articles, please use the templates you can find on my sandbox (Just remember for GSC, and RSE, to add a | and the gen number after land
in the footer). As for the exp counts, right now it's best to not add them. I can't go into too much detail, but we might be adding exp to the party template itself. The work you have been doing is greatly appreciated, and sorry for not replying sooner. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 10:13, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- Ah right, fair enough then. Yeah, adding a little exp column would be a good idea. Thanks, and that's fine, chances are we're on different timezones anyway ;D I'm east Australia. ~ S1tHSL4y3r 12:39, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Please
Slow down on editing the User:
namespace. There are only three userspace edits allowed per day, and you have gone over the limit. Editing your userpage too much will lead to it being locked again. Instead of making multiple small edits, why not instead use the preview button (Alt + Shift + P) to check your edits before saving the page? Thank you. --Force Fire talk 07:08, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't think the monobook.css is considered part of the Userspace as it's more like a "my preferences" thing. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 07:14, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- I guess first I'll say sorry, Force Fire. Though if you're talking about all those edits on monobook.css, yea it's a more "my preferences" thing, but also, in a more relevant manner, Previewing does absolutely nothing when you're editing a file that's being externally used somewhere else, though I suppose you'd know that already.
- Also, today's pretty much the first and only day I've spent doing anything on my User: namespace since I joined a few days ago :| So I've just been gathering things from around the place as I see them, but trust me, I always use the Preview button, countless times before saving it.
- Do those three edits include making new pages as well? ~ S1tHSL4y3r 07:47, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

- OBJECTION. Monobook.css HAS to be placed in the UserNamespace, but the .css themselves have nothing to do with the actual namespace but the way the user views the site [kinda like "my preferences"]! I propose that such a page should not be considered part of the usernamespace. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 08:39, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- My thoughts exactly. ~ S1tHSL4y3r 11:28, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Even if it's a default css file? Cos, the thing was I actually had to save it in order to preview it. But it's not an issue now anyway, since I've finished with it and doubt I'll ever touch it again. And thanks for notifying me. ~ S1tHSL4y3r 08:25, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

You know what'd really make putting the experience gained into the article easy?
If we could make a template that relied on a switch statement.
If you could do that, matching up values for base experience with the National Dex numbers, it'd be awesome.
It'd easy enough to start. Just take the base exp. from the list of Pokémon by effort value yield and throw it into the switch.
What I mean is, start it with {{#switch: {{{1|001}}}|129=20|298=33|173=37|174=39|172=42|360=44|013|191|194=52|010=53|041|165|167|265|401=54|016|261=55
... then just continue on down the line until you come to ...131=219|150|249|250|384|468|483|484|486|487=220|113|242|440|493=255|0}}
. To that end you'll make an effective template for calculating base exp. yield from an entered species, which will then be implemented into the template.
Then from there, it'd be easy work. TTEchidna 01:18, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- Nice idea, I get your drift. Then all we need to do is to connect the variables from the existing templates into
exp yield = 1.5 × base exp × Lv / 7
etcetera, though we'll need some sort of function for disregarding decimals there.
- However, I think an alternative needs to be concocted to replace how the template handles multiple Pokémon in parties, at the moment there's 6 separate external templates, which makes it very annoying to edit them all to be consistent. Perhaps more nested templates could be used? I'll take a look at them all and see what can be done first, before starting the exp, otherwise we'll give ourselves a hard time xP
- Also, I reckon it'd be possible to pull off better graphics for the whole template at some point... border, background images? Though I think I'm getting ahead of myself >_> -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι4γ3r ^^vVv×>–- 04:51, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

- You can do so by clicking on the "Show preview" button! -Billy4b2004 14:20, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Dude, you don't get what I mean by external file. An example would be creating a template that requires variables from a second different template. If you Preview it, nothing happens. You need to save it then test the second template to see if it works. If it doesn't, that's when you have to go back and edit the external one, save it again, and test the second one. It's a grueling process but you can't get around it. And, depending on the complexity, plus number of nested templates, it ends up involving a lot more than three edits. It's not something you can just leave for 24 hours when your three edits are up. Though just for the record, on everything else Shift+Alt+P FTW. -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι4γ3r ^^vVv×>–- 14:34, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi
I noticed you have been editing the User:
namespace a lot today. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a Userspace policy that asks users to only edit their pages four times a day, at most. Instead of making multiple edits, why not use the Preview button (Alt + Shift + P) located right next to the edit button to look at your page and see how it is coming? That way, your page can look great while staying within the required amount of edits. Just wait until tomorrow, ok? Thanks! --FF(edits-talk) 06:28, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Now I get it...
...why you are not around for the past few weeks. We also have LOTS of exams this month, but my presence here doesn't get affected. Anyway, we'll miss you. =[ ►Ҝəυzø8 13:07, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
- So my abrupt disappearance was noticed xD ...Lucky you! Yea, I'm involved in heaps more than I probably should be, but life is life, I guess. Don't you worry, I'll be back before you know it, got a lot of unfinished business still here to attend to =P -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι4γ3r ^^vVv×>–- 13:12, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

S1tHSL4y3r, Your good @ wikicoding. Could you help me? I need help adding videos or previews to pages. It may help get newcomers interested in the anime, or help explain the episode a bit more. It may also help in The fixin of pages that need (better) pictures! thanx ShinyPikachu
