Plot
At the town square, The Masked Royal, Hala, Kiawe, and Lana stumble upon a lively street fair, full of Trainers and their Pokémon. The four split off to explore the games and events.
When Lana spots Tate and Liza struggling to win a fishing game, she tells them that she knows a trick and asks to give it a try. She wins the game easily, and the twins are impressed. Lana invites them to visit her in Alola sometime so they can experience the excitement of fishing.
Meanwhile, Kiawe finds Korrina and Fantina in a dance competition. The crowd declares Fantina the winner, and Korrina compliments her skills. When Fantina starts looking for her next challenger, Marowak comes out of its Poké Ball, eager to participate. Kiawe and Marowak happily dance against Fantina and win the competition. Full of energy after dancing, Fantina and Kiawe decide to have a Pokémon battle while the crowd is still watching.
While exploring the fair, Hala comes across Silver facing another Trainer in a Pokémon sumo wrestling challenge, where Pokémon compete to knock their opponents out of a ring. After Silver's Sneasel wins, Hala sends out his Crabominable to challenge it next. Hala and Crabominable win the battle, but decide to use the tickets they win to enter another match against Silver.
As many fans crowd around The Masked Royal at the fair, Crasher Wake calls out to him. Both of them decide they want to participate in a Battle Royal, but would need two more Trainers in order to do so. The Masked Royal chooses the player to compete in the third spot, and Lear volunteers Sawyer for the fourth after deciding to make the Battle Royal the main event of the fair. The four ready themselves before Lear announces the start of the battle.
