Carol (Japanese: ヨーデル Yodel) is a supporting character who appeared in The Power of One. She is Melody's older sister and the head of the Legend Festival celebrations on Shamouti Island.

History

Carol greeted Ash and his friends as they arrived on Shamouti Island's shores. She also greeted one of her best friends, Maren, who had been gone for five years.

It was revealed that Carol was the Festival Maiden, who led the Legend Festival about the legendary birds and Lugia. However, she recently became too old for the role, and Melody had to reluctantly take over. During the night's festivities, Carol sat with Maren and island elder Tobias as they enjoyed Melody's musical performance.

After Ash and Maren left to retrieve the three elemental orbs from their respective islands, she listened to Melody's concerns about the strong storm and allowed her to follow the pair out on a boat. Carol remained on Shamouti Island and tuned into the breaking weather reports on the television. She grew concerned as the reports showed strong currents and other weather anomalies.

When the crisis was averted by Ash and Lugia, Carol was among those stunned to see the weather suddenly back to normal. She was last seen during the ending credits, waving goodbye to Maren as she left the island with Ash and his friends.

Carol briefly reappeared in a montage in The Rise of Darkrai, which chronicled the preceding nine movies.
