The captain is a recurring character in Pokémon the Series: Black & White. He appeared in Cilan and the Case of the Purrloin Witness! and Best Wishes Until We Meet Again!. He was not given a name in either the Japanese version or the dub versions.
He is in charge of the cruise ship that Ash, Iris, and Cilan boarded while traveling from Honey Island to Scalchop Island. He went to interrogate a businessman, Mr. Shaw, when the security cameras showed him inside Mrs. Ripple's room just after one of her rare jewels was stolen. With the help of a sailor assistant, the captain showed the security footage to Mr. Shaw, who desperately declared himself innocent; so he then decided to continue the investigation.
After that, the captain was called by Cilan over to the deck of the ship, along with other people involved in the investigation. There, Cilan noticed how nervous Mr. Shaw was and asked him to calm down, since he was not the thief. This was proven true when the actual criminal was revealed to be Teaque, who was ultimately stopped by a mysterious man that introduced himself after an intrigued captain asked him to do so.
In Best Wishes Until We Meet Again!, he appeared again as the captain of another ship. He was seen trying to keep the ship under control while it was being attacked by Team Rocket.
