Resumen Nos encontramos en un momento en el que el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información para la enseñanza es parte de un debate. Por un lado se considera que el uso de plataformas, redes sociales o incluso los celulares por parte de los estudiantes, distrae a los mismos de sus deberes escolares, por el otro se invita a aprovechar el uso de estas tecnologías como una herramienta que pude enriquecer cursos escolares. Contrario a lo que pudiese pensarse el trabajar las Tecnologías de la Información no descarga al profesor de trabajo, al contario lo compromete y ocupa aún más. Como parte de un curso de nivel básico de la Facultad de Ciencias Químicas de la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, nos dimos a la tarea de aprovechar el acceso a la plataforma Blackboard para colocar en ella el diseño del módulo Valoraciones Ácido-Base ocupando la herramienta de autor de libre acceso eXeLearning. Summary The use of Information Technologies for teaching is currently part of a debate. While some authors consider that the use of platforms, social networks or even cell phones by students distracts them from their homework and other activities, others state that the use of such technologies as a teaching and learning tool is an advantage that can enrich scholar courses. Contrary to these considerations, working with Information Technologies does not lighten teacher's work; it rather engages his/her tasks even further. As a part of a basic course at the Chemistry School of Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, we took on the task to take advantage of the access to Blackboard platform to place upon it the design of the Acid-Base Ratings module, using eXelearning, a free access computer program.

Learning products to the learning unit carbohydrates into the competency approach) In recent years, obesity and diabetes have been recurring themes in forums and TV news, the high rate of people in Mexico who have any of these conditions have transformed these diseases into epidemics. e incorporation of the competency-based approach as well as activities and assessment products in high school curriculum design has become a challenge. Considering this, we are proposing a series of activities for the Carbohydrates topic in the Biochemistry course in order to help students understand these diseases and suggest preventive measures and solutions, ranging from the design of a diet based on consumer needs and anthropometric characteristics up to the resolution of a real case obtained from clinical daily practice in a clinical laboratory.

Acute and subacute administration of zinc exert neuroprotective effects in hypoxia-ischemia animal models; yet the effect of chronic administration of zinc still remains unknown. We addressed this issue by injecting zinc at a tolerable dose (0.5 mg/kg weight, i.p.) for 14 days before common carotid artery occlusion (CCAO) in a rat. After CCAO, the level of zinc was measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometry, nitrites were determined by Griess method, lipoperoxidation was measured by Gerard-Monnier assay, and mRNA expression of 84 genes coding for cytokines, chemokines, and their receptors was measured by qRT-PCR, whereas nitrotyrosine, chemokines, and their receptors were assessed by ELISA and histopathological changes in the temporoparietal cortex-hippocampus at different time points. In the Mexican Educational System, one of the
main objectives proposed within the curricular
design of study plans and programs is focused on
favoring the integral formation of the human
being, based on various subjects that manage to
potentiate the capacities of the individual, as well
as, train to citizens capable of living in society, it
is therefore necessary to analyze the linkage of
the different plans and study programs from
basic, upper secondary and higher education, in
order to analyze whether their articulation favors
the achievement of the objectives set by of the
educational institution.
For this, it is important to recognize the influence
of public policies in the development of
curricular design, its link with the social sector
and the response provided to historical, social
and cultural demands, promoting the inclusion of
each one of the human beings who receive
education.

The curriculum of the chemistry programs of different universities in Mexico is  reviewed in order to know their structure and propose a flexible curriculum design for students studying this career at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla

Working with two groups of students from different semesters of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla explored the usefulness of videos as a peer advisory tool for
the resolution of exercises on the subject of Chemical Balance. It was suggested to students the use of some video editor and the availability of the same is on YouTube, these videos received comments and criticisms
from early semester students as to whether the explanation they put in them is understandable and useful to work on the central theme of these videos

The contextualization of the topics and contents taught at the different educational levels is undoubtedly one of the most important challenges for teachers, faced with the constant questioning of students about the usefulness of what is taught in a classroom. As part of the course Basic Analytical Chemistry, which is taught in the second semester of the Pharmacobiologist Chemistry program of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico, was proposed as the final activity of the acid and base unit to construct an infographic to explain what is renal tubular acidosis, a disease that affects newborn children and whose control is directly associated with the acid-base balance of the organism. To do this, students were presented with the generalities of the disease and asked to build an infographic using Instagram in which they should explain the clinical picture of the disease, the patient’s care and estimate the concentration of the medicinal product which should be prescribed to patients.
