I need like a dozen or more of these and I will say right now - I had zero intention of dropping a thousand dollars on freakin obelisks.

So here I go freestyle gardening again by making my own on the fly!

When I found I found these cedar garden stakes at dollarama 4 for $5 I knew that I had to roll up to the counter like it was Home Depot with that useless tiny cart packed with every bit they had and embarrass my kids carrying out armfuls.

Kemp Harper on Instagram: "Ask and you shall receive! Some have wanted to know if these are vintage or homemade?! Can you believe these cost $30 a piece? Minus the finials… that was an Etsy splurge. I’m using ours for tomato cages, I can go out with a salt shaker and just eat them off the vine… I love how much architecture and charm they add to our new vegetable garden! I’m a big fan of things that are pretty and useful. I hope you give these a try for your summer garden this year!"
