1 A Place to Stand from Dwell...

This place is just awesome.  I love the neutral palette of wood and concrete with the pops of color.  And that concrete sloping surface makes for a very unique space.

1 Showroom H Designed by Akihisa Hirata

Showroom H Designed by Akihisa Hirata.  I find it rather strange that this is a showroom for farm equipment, but I love it.

0 Bathroom Inspiration from Eastvold

Bathroom Inspiration from an Eastvold project in San Francisco...that vanity is almost identical to what we have planned for our bathroom remodel {which I might add, is KILLING me- it needs to end very soon or I'm going to loose my mind}.

4 Concrete and Wood...and An Awesome Chair

You have to click over and see the rest of this house at Black Eiffel if you haven't already...its kinda amazing.  I completely love the contrast of the cool concrete and warm wood in the bedroom.

Does anyone know anything about that chair in the bottom right of the living room pic?  I will be very thankful if you do!

PS. I think the scale and arrangement of the furniture in the second image is totally wonky.

Villa Vals' is situated in Switzerland, and is designed by Christian Müller Architects and SeARCH

2 Nigel Peake MAPS

I am very fascinated with this...
Nigel Peake MAPS
Documenting small time adventures and excursions outwith a mile radius from where I call home. From train rides facing backwards, to crammed bus rides in tiny hill-top towns, to bike rides through the backyards of Europe. Records of the vast, unyielding concrete miles of Shanghai, to the paths between mountains and forests in late night French countryside to the old paint splattered wooden floor in London that I sleep on from time to time. In addition to this there are also some imaginings of possible places - cities built from train tunnels and underground arches to invisible concrete cities.

6 A Lovely White Townhouse

This lovely white townhouse in Landskrona, Sweden was designed by the architecture firm Elding Oscarson {the same Architect that designed this}.  There are many things I love about this house, including:
1. The fact that it stands out from the neighborhood.  I am all about being the odd ball on the block, as long as the house isn't imposing or not well maintained.
2. The clean white walls and exterior...
3. The concrete floors
4. The interior courtyard...I NEED one of those {okay....not in New Orleans.}
4. That wall of bookcases filled with books
5. That studio area...

Awesome.  Maybe I should move to Sweden.

0 Flickr Find

Fun Flickr Find from Eric is So Eric. Here is the story according to Eric:

"this was a class project to do a stamp design centered around on the bauhaus movement, i did a series of abstract images paired with bold color chosen from the same colors as the bauhaus movement used. the image you see on this stamp, is a tall building with glass and concrete levels. it was taken looking up.the other stamps had gears/circles-tires/tool shapes (automotive) , silhouettes of hands/faces for civic work .. etc - the series saluted people of industry / industries anyway this piece is a favorite of mine, and my sketch concept is what the class liked over my bauhaus simplicity which is funny because the other stamp deign is ugly as hell with a little screw, with a red white green and blue blotches. hahaha. it was a fun project."

I don't care if the other one was ugly...this one is fantastic!
